We had a brilliant time. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The accommodation was amazing and on a beautiful setting next to the river. Plus, the Safari was definitely a highlight of our hole trip. Thank you.

We stayed in the delux tents facing the main river. We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed every day. Rooms- large spacious tent with everything you need. Very clean and freshly changed (daily if you wish). Tea and coffee making facilities and plenty of plugs for charging electronics etc, Bathroom- again spacious Has 2 sinks and hot and cold water for showers Supply of soaps and creams Food - variety of food - all good my husband likes spicy food whilst I do not and we were both catered for. Staff- A+ superb team vey friendly and keen to make our stay good. Went above and beyond- the manager is attentive and seen regularly throughout the day - but not overbearing Activities- we went on 2 safari’s both arranged by the hotel. The first one a morning one - an early cuppa and then a fabulous mornings sights followed by a late breakfast at the hotel. The second was a longer one - we were served breakfast by the fabulous hotel team kitti looking over the reserve and reservoir, and then back for lunch We also went to the transit elephant orphanage and a herbal medicine tour where we had a massage We even planted some lemon trees

Very friendley helpfull staff, peacefull place. Nice pools one is bigger than the other one. Clean rooms. Meals are buffet style and are Sri lankenstyle. We enjoyed our stay for 1 night in combination with a safari to the Udawalawe park. Enjoy toe stay

Nice hôtel glamping style! We were there for 2 nights in a 2 persons tente, but with a extra bed for a third person. It was still very comfortable, space enough to go around in the tent. The staff was so nice and ready to help with anything! Some tents seemed to get old a little bit, but they are making new installations that are almost done. We had a cute little spot in front of the river, and excellent spot for relaxing and getting close to nature! I would recommend it for anyone who wants some quiet time, peace and nature connection!

This place is just fantastic if what you are looking for is a quiet place in nature by a river. The tents are very comfortable, some are brand new others a little tired but wonderfully located. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful as we had improvised our weekend there last minute. Of course we were off season with very few others guests, so can’t tell what it looks like when fully booked but I’m confident the spirit of the place stays the same. The food was excellent and the chef himself was there to make sure everyone was happy.

What a place! Beautifully presented in stunning gardens dripping in vines and blooms and fringed with magnificent trees. Riverside safari lodges beautifully appointed. Fantastically presented, clean and spacious with oodles of charm and a real safari feel. The staff are tripping over themselves to greet and welcome you and make you feel utterly spoilt. The dining area is a cleverly presented buffet in a huge wooden rustic appearing lodge, with a fabulous spread of local and varied cuisine. The bar is well stocked and the all important Lion is served chilled by the bottle. On your balcony overlooking the river and listening to the wildlife if you wish. The safari was a real treat and hugely exhilarating for the whole family. And there’s a pool if you want. Two in fact. Hidden amongst the lush foliage. It’s dreamy. A true hidden gem which has been a highlight in an already magnificent tour of Sri Lanka. Love love loved it x

An hotel fitted like an African Safari lodge, near a river in the Udawalawe National Park area. The bungalows are original (No aircon), though the bathroom may need a serious refreshment. Wifi doesn't work well but the manager told me a replacement has been already requested.

We stayed here for 2 nights in a riverside cabin. They accomodate either doubles or twins. Lovely little balcony at the front with comfortable chairs. In the morning we woke up to monkeys in the trees and mongoose by the river which was lovely to see. Shortly after a beautiful blue kingfisher sat and watched us from a nearby branch. The bathroom is adequate but would be a slippery trap for some not as agile. Some issues with the toilet and fan in the room but the onsite manager is always quick to help and resolve. The breakfast and dinner buffet was extensive and staff very attentive even with the language barrier. Chef on hand to answer any questions and assist with dietary requirements. Two very nice swimming pools and a volleyball court. Unfortunately we had no time to take up the offer to challenge the staff to volleyball or cricket. There is a produce garden where the restaurant grows as much produce as and for something extra you can plant a lemon tree Alcohol is available and the tea and coffee decent. This is the best place for service we have stayed in on our Sri Lanka trip.
