First of all - the area is beautiful and we felt very comfortable in this beautiful nature on our Easter trip. But... the hotel... I thought to myself, treat yourself and the children to a nice short break over Easter in a "wellness hotel" - you're willing to spend a bit of money and the reviews were actually quite good... unfortunately wrong... you really have to take something out of each review and write a combination to get the overall picture. The staff: absolutely courteous and friendly. Yes, we are in Italy - you can't expect German there, even if German is spoken in every shop, restaurant and supermarket... but the fact that you can't even get by with English is a bit disappointing, but by far not the biggest criticism. The rooms: A suite for my wife, me and our two sons - sounds great - the rooms have potential too... but that's it, the furnishings are at least 40 years old, wood worn, upholstery torn, beds too small for people <185cm, armchairs saggy - but new Smart TV and really comfortable mattresses and, very importantly: it was clean. The bathroom and toilet were forgettable, small shower cubicle - lighting like in a storage room and the doorbell at the toilet was pushed towards you... The wellness area: Actually quite nice, pool a bit outdated but otherwise OK - just strange that the visitors go to the sauna and steam bath in textiles (swimming trunks/bikini), which I think is very unhygienic and gives you a bad feeling (but maybe the Italian guests, and there were almost only Italians there, are used to that) The food: We had booked half board: Breakfast was OK, dinner was OK too but nothing special - it was noticeable that salt/pepper/ketchup/mayo/mustard/parmesan were not available in dispensers/cruets but individually packaged - not to mention the impression that it was not particularly environmentally friendly. The bar: Could be improved if the employee had to ask colleagues for the ingredients and sometimes they were not there (cane sugar for Caipi and mint for Mojito) but then something was served anyway... everyone can make their own opinion. Billing is very non-transparent - you don't get detailed receipts for drinks in the bar or for dinner, only the total appears on the final bill. Not a pleasant experience for us - we certainly won't be coming back to the hotel in that town...
