The hotel staff is terrible, not only did they not have a room ready for us, we came in and someone else was sleeping there, then we went to another room and there were cockroaches running around, it was very late and we had to stay the next morning and wanted to change the hotel because paying $1,300 and sleeping with cockroaches is completely outrageous, we stayed for 2 days and only stayed for 1, then we told them that we would move to another hotel and they said okay and that they would give us our money back, but in the end they wrote that they would not give us our money back for another night! I don’t know what else to add 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️

We arrived at the Hotel Bristol after a very stressful week spent getting to Italy (cancelled flights, lost luggage, etc.) We found that they had upgraded us to a room with a balcony/sea view which was wonderful. The staff were amazing from the valets to the concierge, especially Paula. They responded graciously to every question and request. The spa was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had including the Four Seasons. All in all, a delightful surprise!

Grand Hotel Bristol is an amazing resort! From the moment we arrived at the train station in Rapallo, their shuttle picked us up and delivered us to the hotel- magnificent!!! The staff is friendly, professional, helpful and all around wonderful! Paola and her team at concierge services delivered the best care! The suggestions they made for restaurants & excursions top notch! Front desk staff as well were so helpful! We had a beautiful room overlooking the pool and the water! The bed was comfy, the bathroom was sizable and towels plush and wonderful! A definite place to include on your list if traveling to the Italian Riviera!!! We wish we stayed longer!!!

This wonderful hotel is ideally situated in Rapallo which is part of Portofino Bay. Our room was first class on the first floor with an excellent view of the bay. Our bed was exceptionally comfortable and our bathroom was well equipped .. We received a regular daily supply of water and fruit juice. Breakfast was superb with a great choice of food including fresh cherries which was a real delight. A shuttle bus was a pleasant surprise which we used daily to Rapallo and to local restaurants . The staff were so very helpful throughout our entire stay. Overall a superb hotel, which ensued a delightful stay.

The Hotel Staff is exceptional. They Understand how to give great service. The Bell staff was wonderful. The check-in staff was wonderful. The bar staff worked hard to give great service. The Good: The Staff - Helped make the stay extra special. Ths Spa - Everything about the Spa was great. Best Massage I ever had. As a guest, you could use the Spa pool. We did it every day for at least an hour. The breakfast - We only took advantage of the breakfast one day. Had I known how good it was, I would have gone every day. The Shuttle - Great staff, great service, We used it every day to go into town. The Concierge Staff - They were Great, The Bad: The Resturant " La Veranda". This was a substantial letdown. The food selection was very limited. The prices were overinflated. The service was not near the quality of the rest of the hotel. My wife order a dish, that was terrible. Took one bite. When they took the plate away, no one asked, why she had not eaten more that a bite. This was not the case anywhere else we ate in Italy. Many times the portions were so large we could not finish the meal. They would always ask if everything was ok. In this restaurant, just the opposite. With all the great options in town, don't waste your money here. This would be an excellent choice of a place to stay in Rapallo.

Wonderful staff, who were always courteous and helpful, particularly the concierge team. Breakfasts were superb, the hotel was conveniently located but there was a shuttle bus into the town, if you needed it. Swimming pool was large and warm.

A+ all around, from the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome, as if they had been awaiting our arrival. We were given a room upgrade due to my Hyatt status and the view was just beautiful. Welcome drink on arrival. We were able to walk to Rapallo in under 15 mins, there’s a shortcut which the staff on the front desk told us about, and during the day it’s such a beautiful waterfront walk past beach clubs to the town. Rapallo is charming, cute stores, tons of restaurants. We took the ferry from there to Portofino, and I highly recommend that because there’s nothing like that view arriving into Portofino harbor. Back at the hotel, the food was excellent, fabulous breakfast buffet and delicious dinners in either the lobby level restaurant or the gorgeous rooftop. The pool was such a wonderful place to relax, especially on the swinging chairs. We wanted to go to the wellness center and ran out of time, it means we have to come back!
