I've never met a guesthouse owner who cares so much about her guests and who puts so much love, attention, and care into a business. Sarah is a force of nature who provides great local travel advice, wonderful breakfasts (and other meals on request), nice rooms, and a lovely family atmosphere at Sulawesi Castle. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. The fans provide white noise so I never woke up due to any outside noises. You'll never find a proprietor who cares as much for her guests as she does. From the delicious home baled breads to the solid transport help, I can't remember a guesthouse I've enjoyed more. This is a very special place, and she is a special person. I stayed for 6 nights and found it hard to leave.

Such a great experience! We had a big room with big terrace and great views. Amazing breakfast: several types of bread, home baked and different types of jam - home made. To top it up: Sarah is an incredible host. She can also help out with guides for touring or hiking. Definitely recommended

With its view from the balcony this is a great place to stay, but it was really more about Sara, the owner, who went above and beyond in the helpful department. When it was time to leave, after just one night’s stay, Sara and her two nieces even walked with us to the bus stop to ensure the bus would stop for us. That little extra can go such a long way.

A cut above. In over a month in Indonesia this is easily the best. Big, bright,airy rooms . Well located. Sarah the owner speaks excellent English,bakes bread, make jams and peanut butter in her kitchen. An excellent cook and knows the area well. She can help with guides etc. By the way Astro is an exceptional guide,ask for him. This is as good as home stays get.

we had an incredible stay at Sara's, sharing moments around the kitchen with learning Indonesian recipes in exchange for good French pastries. Sara was very available for us and allowed us to discover the local markets with her. I recommend this establishment to anyone looking for authenticity

Super séjour au Sulawesi Castle ! La propriétaire, Sarah, est aux petits soins pour ses hôtes et est toujours de bons conseils pour vous aider à organiser votre voyage. Sarah est par ailleurs une excellente cuisinière et le petit déjeuner est entièrement fait maison : plusieurs variétés de pains, brioche, banana cake et fruits frais… Nous avons également dîné sur place sur simple demande et nous nous sommes régalés ! L’endroit est d’une propreté irréprochable. Nos filles de 9 ans ont adoré jouer avec les enfants de la maison. Merci Sarah ! Louise, Ambre, Chloé et Quentin
