We staid for one night with my mother when visiting the Savonlinna Opera festival, and we’re warmly welcomed by the owners and the lovely friendly cat Massimo :) the mansion is situated about 25-30min drive from the city, and offers a really lovely haven of peace and quiet, for relaxing after a night of fun. The duvet was maybe the fluffiest ever, and the room was nice, calm, clean and quiet. Didn’t see ghosts, even though we were told there might be one… :) Breakfast was really ambitious, with really good freshly baked bread, pancakes, oh basically everything you need to start a day, and a perfect sturdy breakfast to keep you going for a two hour round and the first nine holes of a golf course. Warm recommendation, and greetings to the lovely keepers of the Wiisala Kartano!
