Thea (owner), Charity and Paul run an incredible venue, nothing is too big or too small to ask for and they are always there, no matter what time of day or night. Stayed for nearly three weeks on business and all I can say is "excellent service" and the staff are very welcoming, the rooms are always cleaned and the coffee/tea station is replenished everyday. I would definitely choose this venue again, even if it is only for a personal stay. I would recommend Oaklands for your next in town visit or business accommodation.

After my king size bed was swapped for a double, I went to speak to the owner. Before I could even offer up a solution I was yelled at because she didn't have enough beds for the guests. I who had been staying there for three years was forced to sleep on a mattress. Items like a couch was removed from my room and never returned. I was not allowed to give her back her dust riddled wooden art work but was instead told that she could take whatever she wanted from the room that I paid to stay in every single month. There were also massive rats. And small ones that could find their way into the rooms.
