We went here for my parents anniversary for 4th May and 5th May. This is a massive property in the Sahayadri ranges. The beauty of this resort is that it is close to Arabian sea inspite of being on the hills. We stayed in Premium tents and the room size and amenities were good. No plastic bottles given here. They have RO filters in every room. Amazing views from the rooms. Reason for 4 star is that the activities were a bit expensive. Food is decent enough and the staff are kind. Swimming pool oversees the backwaters from Arabian Sea. My daughter loved the Petting Zoo which is a decent addition.

I am writing this review following our recent stay at Forest Hills in Tala for a one-day staycation on June 22nd and 23rd, 2024. We booked two luxury cottages for my family, but unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing. The resort's maintenance left much to be desired; the so-called "luxury cottages" we stayed in were below average, resembling neglected tents rather than comfortable accommodations. The surrounding areas were overgrown with grass, including the paths leading to the cottages. Inside, the rooms were musty and unpleasant, despite our requests for room fresheners going unaddressed. One of the most distressing incidents occurred in the morning when my 14-year-old daughter was locked in the bathroom for over two hours. We had to urgently call a carpenter to free her, which was distressing for her and our entire family. When I brought these issues to the attention of the reception and senior staff, their response was disappointing and indifferent. There was no apology or attempt to address our concerns, giving the impression that such incidents were not uncommon. Considering the high charges, which suggest a five-star property, the reality was closer to a lodge experience with substandard rooms and service. I feel it is important to caution others who may be considering staying here. Please be cautious

My wife and I enjoyed a two-night stay at Forest Hills' Hermitage Zennia Villa. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff provided a helpful overview of the resort's amenities. Our room was exceptional - a large, beautifully designed space with a balcony overlooking scenic mountains and a lake. The makeshift kitchen was a convenient perk, complete with a water filter and fridge. There was a minor letdown with the pool. While the view was lovely, it wasn't very clean. Despite staff cleaning it, the lingering dirt and insects deterred us from using it extensively. The food and service were bright spots. The staff was attentive, checking in with us regularly, and the food itself was excellent, albeit with somewhat limited breakfast options for vegetarians. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend Forest Hills to anyone seeking a relaxing getaway in a beautiful setting. Just be aware of the potential pool issue if that's a priority for you.

The entire concept of the resprt is awesome.located on entire mountain and spread across the mountain. Quiet calm serene place, amazing views, a perfect location for relaxation in nature laps, However the resort can improve on: 1. Directions and signages. There are no signages on roha tala road and very limited signages from indapur murud road. 2. Food choices could be more better 3. There can be some more engagement for guests after 7.00 PM

The serene and green environs beckoned us to enjoy a relaxed stay breathing in pure, fresh air with majestic landscape of the hills and Arabian sea. With exemplary service, our stay was extremely comfortable in the spacious villa with a private plunge pool and stunning views from the deck. The petting zoo offered us a chance to get close to the animal kingdom. A visit to the organic farm was most satisfying and most of the vegetables in their kitchen come from here. A High tea with sandwiches and pakoras, at the Sunset view point is unmissable as the beauty of the golden orb, drowning into the sea is a stress reliever. This pretty splash of colour in the sky elicits a sense of gratitude.

One of our best trip & thanks to team Forest hill to make it memorable. Right from stay in Marigold & Tent Tupik, the staff did a great job to make our trip memorable. The place is really awesome with Petting zoo, ATV BIKES, luxurious villa with pool, kuda caves, etc. The food is super awesome.. can't wait to be back. Thank to Aradhana ( AGM) Forest hill to make our stay super special ❤️

The location and service at Forest Hills at Tala are fantastic. The staff that serve this place will do whatever it takes to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable for you. We stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days as a family of 12 across 4 villas. The units were all comfortable and well furnished with unique designs and beautiful views for most of them. Aradhana (manager) and her team did a great job with all the preparations and being available for any questions or minor issues that we faced. Chef Ram and his team made very good food for us which was included in our rates for the duration. We paid approx ₹15,000 per villa for the 2 nights and three days including meals. The meals included a wide variety from Chinese, Punjabi, American breakfast, local dishes and accommodated many of our special requests as much as possible. The tea here is INCREDIBLE. The only downside, if you want heat (mirchi) in your food, you have really ask for it. All the activities advertised cost extra, except for the pool and they are a bit expensive. We spent most of our time in the pool and hanging out within the family gathering in a common villa playing games and catching-up. This might the 'realistic' and suggested use case for Forest Hills at Tala. I'd say that unless you have other extensive activities planned, such as visiting the nearby caves (which you cannot at times due to the monsoon conditions) 2 nights is probably the right amount.

Forest Hill Tila is the worst holiday destination dispite paying hefty 40k. We were treated horribly by the manager on duty. When we complained about the Cockroaches, Insects which were found in and around the room also in bed, Worst quality Jain food knowing all that it was true she surprisingly came heavenly on me and was treated absolutely bizarrely. Which was absolutely shocking for me. So called forest hill Tila takes money first to ensure that their money is safe and now customer can't do anything. And then they treat customer with very very low quality service. It's like paying for 5 star and getting 0.5 star facilities that's what I experienced. I request everyone not to consider above destination for your future holidays. Forest Hill Tala are pure cheaters as they took 100% advance money to ensure that customer has no choice but had to visit the villa and then give the treatment which they gave the worst as mentioned above.

Simply amazing 2 Nights in this beautiful property. Service: 4/5 Food: 5/5 Amenities: 3/5 Staff: 5/5 Road to Property: 5/5 Elderly friendly: 4/5 * Rooms Taken: (2 couples) Hermitage (Zinnia) - room with pool and great views Luxury Tent (Hogan) - room with excellent space and balcony with an amazing view The rooms are spacious and well done up. They had amazing views. The pool in the Hermitage is just so worth it. Perfect place to relax and do nothing. The food is catered under Chef - Ram. He is an excellent cook. We had an All meals inclusive plan and Menu was fixed but vast enough to satisfy your palette; however Ram ensured we were treated to some of his specialities in order to have a change of menu. Thank you Mr.Ram. You must have food here. Operations Manager - Manoj also has well handled the management here and it was a pleasure to meet him. The restaurant service Staff is fantastic! All of them served us so well. Only suggestion we gave is to change the plates (they are grained and make a noise whenever cutlery is used). The room service staff has also been good. It is a huge property and the staff has done their best to serve us! The road to property is superb. We used the road via Indapur. Take your car ***** as it is required in the property. 3.5 hrs from South Mumbai to reach here comfortably. (176kms) Suggestions: 1) Hermitage, Camel Cabin are excellent for any Couple. 2) Luxury Tent is awesome and well suited for all, especially elders 3) Do not take the Glass House ( rather take Hermitage) . The 2nd room is too small and dull. 4) insects are really not an issue. Just switch off lights before dark for a while and close all doors and curtains. All in all I’d say… take a change from the usual Mahabaleshwar, Hilton Shilimb and go here.
