Motel Skalka

I stayed here as I had some friends in a house nearby. We were in Slovakia for a weeks skiing. Motel Skalka is a 20 minute drive from the Snow Paradise resort. The hotel is modern and clean. The rooms are a decent size with good bathrooms. Wifi worked well throughout. There are a couple of things to watch out for. First there is a lot of noise from the road which appears to be the main truck route from Poland/Czech Republic. Try to get a room away from the road as it is busy 24 hours. nest, the heating cannot be controlled in the room (why not?). You have to ask at reception for them to turn down the heat. We had to insulate the radiator with towels/clothes to keep the temperature down. We only ate breakfast at the hotel. That was excellent. We saw others at dinner time and the food looked really good. They do close early in the evening however.
