This was an unbelievable experience from A to Z. The hotel is easy 5* (officially 4*s). It is run mostly by a family (mother and 8 siblings) each having precise areas to cover. It is clearly visible they are managing this as their own, with focus on customers, so that nothing is missing. The online pre-check in I found very convenient, at arrival they were waiting us with the keys (and a couple of glasses of bubbly), no paper work, no formalities. The Miriam suite is (I understand) part of the renovated rooms, very modern, including infrared room in the bathroom area, comfortable bed (you can of course ask to change pillows with your preferred type). Spotless clean, spacious, large balcony with superb view. Moving to the restaurant, normally you would have half board (I think that is by default, not sure if you can choose breakfast only), but it is very well worth it. Select your choice out of 2 or 3 daily options for dinner, you cannot go wrong, as food is truly cooked with passion. It is a 5 dish meal, sometime they start the appetizers in the reception area including drinks, salad and cheese buffet is self serve at any time. The SPA area, is apparently very good as well, we didn't use it though as there is a "no textile" in the sauna policy in place, which we were not comfortable with. The heated pools are excellent, good size for swimming inside and outside with a breathtaking view. There are lots of activities every day (yoga, qi-gong, hikes) we particularly liked the hike to their refuge (1h30 minutes of light hiking) where the family prepared a very good barbeque for all, accompanied by some nice schnapps, beers and wine. As a complete experience, I believe this was the best we had in recent years.

Hotel exceeded our expectations in all directions although we are pretty internationally experienced and demanding travellers. A piece of paradies - no wishes stayed open, great food, generous wellness, competent and very freindly staff. Looking forward to our next stay

To describe my experience at the Plunhof, it would take pages and pages and despite everything, they would still not serve to tell what one can find in front of you, staying in this Paradise. This is the fourth time I have come with my husband and each time it is a reaffirmation and a new discovery. The location is splendid and lends itself to many trips and excursions. The hotel is getting better, bigger and more organized. 4000 square meters of SPA cannot be described, but only lived. Great food, classy and plentiful. The perfect service, very attentive and thoughtful. It is a continuous cuddle that you miss when the holiday ends and you have to dive back into the daily routine again. What to say!?!? We can't wait to go back and enjoy this Paradise again. A special note of merit to Alex who with his friendliness and professionalism accompanied us on our SPA journey.

Now we come back every year, a ritual that can almost be missed to regenerate body and mind. Everything is always perfect, from the welcome on arrival to departure. Beautiful spa with pleasant saunas, very large swimming pool with optimal temperature, pond and whirlpool. Spaces for relaxation always cared for. We have visited many wellness hotels in South Tyrol, but the Plunhof is simply perfect. Everything was right here, from the staff, room, restaurant, wellness... And and The menu was excellent in the evening, the breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. We can only give this hotel full marks and would love to come back.

Highly Recommended. Fantastic hotel, spacious rooms and a wellness area that leaves nothing to be desired. Super spa area - simply fantastic. The many awards speak for themselves and were definitely awarded! Beautiful and pleasant hotel ambience with lots of wood, warm tones of the textiles and South Tyrolean craftsmanship in perfect harmony. A line that runs consistently through the entire house, from the lounge through the corridors to the dining rooms - just really cosy! Breakfast and dinner are hard to beat. The food is absolutely first class, regional, seasonal, very high quality and extremely tasty - cooked with love! ...especially the peanut mousse ;-) A big compliment goes to the nice ladies at the reception, the service staff in the bar and restaurant, as well as all employees and of course the Volgger family - you are all great, keep up the good work! :-) We are thrilled and will be back a third time!

Congratulations to those who designed the structure: old wood, stones and minerals typical of the area .. wisely combined. Modern structure but with the flavor and taste of old farms and the mine not far from the hotel. Indoor spa with daily aufguss and 32-degree outdoor pool, perfect also in this season. In the saunas there is a nudist area with a salt pool. We were guests with half board from 3pm on Sunday to 7.30pm on Monday ... breakfast with an unbeatable buffet (nothing was missing) and a 3-course dinner after a vegetable and cheese buffet. It's worth it, even just for a weekend
