The best holiday in Cape Verde, everyone was welcoming and very nice, they had activities and food and drink all day long, luxury and excursions too, it's a big resort and nice, we were here for the first time this year but definitely not the last Thank you

It was ok, but I would not repeat the experience. The food was acceptable, the dessert not so tasty. The staff was 50-50: some friendly, some very bothered by the guests.

A quiet resort with apartments that need an upgrade, but are very clean! We had no wifi in/near our apartment. Otherwise it was almost perfect! Delicious food and the quality was also fine. The staff is very hospitable and very friendly.

This was our first trip to Cape Verde. The hotel is situated in a beautiful area of Boa Vista, only 5 mins from the airport (barely heard a plane), only 15 mins from Sal Rei and the beach was mostly empty with stunning sunset views from the lobby bar. Overall the food was excellent- fresh fish, salads, fruit, local food, and an impressive variety of international cuisine. The animation team presented a great variety of activities all week. Most importantly they brought a real personality to the hotel and helped create a Cape Verde vibe (Island dance shows were a highlight!). The chefs, reception, bar and room staff were also very helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable with sweet little decorations every now and then. In December the temperature is warm but the winds cool it a little and keep the climate a drier and more comfortable. We would recommend Occidental for a more traditional and personal Cape Verde experience. Thank you Occidental!

My first holiday on my own as a solo female was made to feel safe, staff always checked to make sure I was safe and happy. The views of the beach and the sunset are incredible, the food delicious and the staff are all wonderful. I love this place, wish I could live here. The WiFi isn't great but with that view and loads of entertainment, who needs WiFi!

Nice beach, get up really early if you want a bed at the pool . We didn’t. Guest are mostly French and Italian. Rooms are clean and staf is friendly

The TV was not repaired during the entire stay It was leaking from under the bathtub Air conditioning barely working The waiting time for luggage after arriving at the hotel after being informed that they would be in the room within 10 minutes arrived after an hour, and my friends' luggage was lost and found after 1.5 hours. The toilet flush broke every day and there was no water in the room Travel agency with trips in a hotel "only for guests from Italy" Monotonous performances of animators The same routines and the same attractions repeated day after day. The only advantage of the hotel is the sea front view from the main restaurant. The waiters and ladies cleaning the rooms are very friendly and helpful. I don't know why the hotel is rated 4*, in my opinion it doesn't deserve more than 2+ Discrimination based on race, one can feel that Italians are treated better than other nations

Boa Vista Occidental is really nice place to stay and enjoy holiday. Beautiful view, nice clean sandy beach, very tasty food and great Animation team to provide entertainment.
