Got upgraded to a suite, huge room with big, beautiful bathroom with the best shower ever. nice location and not too far from main attractions, Breakfast does not have many options so that was little disappointed other than our stay was very comfortable. Excellent customer service.

The room was a mini-suit with modern and well-equipped kitchen, bar, small table, a mini-office area with desk and booker. The room was very comfortable, the room was very comfortable and the room was very comfortable. The bathroom in perfect conditions and the cleaning of 10. The only one I could have against is the location as it is not so central but at the same time it was perfect for me because I wanted to be near the House of Culture (for a concert). It is also close to walking from a Megamaxi, several restaurants and a very nice old cinema. I would certainly be back home here I was glad, even though I stayed away from other places because for the price, attention and comfort it is worth it.

We are leaving for other parts of the country today but really enjoyed my 4 nights here. Mainly local business people - I didn't see any tourists at hotel. But very comfortable - rooms are small but good wifi, lots of outlets, and plenty of hot water. Located about 1/2 hour taxi ride from Ciudad Historico and walking distance to Mariscal. Good breakfast provided each morning. Adrian at front desk was kind enough to get a driver for us for a couple of days to leave the city. They do have a small gym as well. I hope the next places we stay in Banos, Cuenca, and Guayaquil are as nice as this.

Although is located in a busy street and area, there is security and really close to malls, restaurants, banks, supermarket and also a nice barber shop next to the premises. Breakfast to die for. My wife and I always stay overnight at the Wyndham when we arrive on a late flight to Quito after our travels. We live fairly close-by but we feel like we are extending our vacation for another night when we stay here. The hotel is beautiful and everyone we come into contact with is very nice and provides impeccable service.

Hotel was empty, super quiet, and very pretty. Comfortable beds. Lots of minor irritants make the stay unpleasant. If the hotel had more guests it would probably be loud - all windows open to the courtyard so you hear anyone talking there. The bathroom was designed by someone who doesn't use a bathroom. The counter overhangs the toilet so that the toilet lid cannot open all the way, it falls down if you try to open it, etc. The shower is cute, but to reach the valve you have to put yourself below the rain-type shower head. So you have to get sprayed by cold water to turn on the shower. These minor irritants degrade the experience and are not what one expects from a hotel that costs 2x other options. The included breakfast was awful. Scrambled eggs are more like an egg soup with some oil added. They had spaghetti with clams one morning that looked like leftovers from the night before - who eats that at 7am? Most of the bread baskets were empty, juices were empty. You'd think that no one was tending the buffet except there were 2-3 people standing around talking to each other. Again, perfectly reasonable for a hotel that costs $20/night. Not at all reasonable for a hotel that costs this much. Dinner was fine, but the menu is very limited and expensive for relatively simple food. Lots of waiters, not many guests. The dining area is set up in the open patio/courtyard which makes for a kind of weird experience of everyone being a little too close. One night there was a big table for a group that seemed to really enjoy itself - everyone else just watched and listened them as they dominated the room. The restaurant seems to cater to local events like family gatherings, which is great unless you are a hotel guest. All-in-all a nice-ish hotel that costs far more than it should. Clearly someone put some effort into the original remodel and since then the interest has waned. TV remote turns on the cable box but not the TV, you have to walk through the construction zone of the bar to get to your room, breakfast is gross, bathrooms were designed by aliens, etc, etc. There have got to be better options in this price class. Not sure why all these other reviews are so glowing. Perhaps first-time visitors to Ecuador who are just glad that they were not robbed?

GGuest UserVery helpful and friendly staff and many spoke English. Our room was in the ”modern wing” which had posted signs in the hallways asking that you keep quiet. Filtered water was available from 5-gallon jugs at multiple locations in the hallways. The room itself was very comfortable. The bathroom area had two sinks, plenty of counterspace, and separate ”rooms” for toilet and shower. Room also had a safe. No A/C but windows did open -- and there was an overhead fan. You are able to close the window when sleeping and able to block much of the noise from overhead planes. Had two sets of blinds to block out any light. The grounds were well manicured and attracted various birds, to include the gorgeous Vermillion Flycatcher (see photo). At least three Llamas roam the grounds and the friendly house-cat, Sylvestre, stopped by to say hello several times (we sought him out the 2nd night). The restaurant had a large dinner menu and offered a nice selection of local dishes that were freshly prepared. We ate two breakfasts - buffet style; fresh fruit, cereal, breads, cold meats and cheese plus hot items (scrambled eggs offered each day). At one end of the parking lot there is access to a nice trail and the neighboring farm - we walked around this area and felt safe at all times. While we had our own airport-transfer organized, the hotel does state that they offer this service. It's about a 20-25 minute drive to the airport. For bird-watchers, there is an eBird location called ”Hosteria San Jose de Puembo.”

GGuest UserI highly recommend staying at the NH Quito hotel. The service is excellent and the food is of very good quality. Dinner-Chef Jonnathan personally serves guests at their table and all three meals during the week were excellent. The dedication and hard work of the entire staff is evident in the effort they put into making guests feel at home. The pillows are great and the room service is also very good.

Bar area is smart and comfortable. Enjoyable bar menu. Mega pizza. Restaurant nearby. Breakfast room smart and well laid out. Excellent selection of continental options alongside cooked food made to order at the kitchen. Lots to fill you up on a day out. Room was nice and big. Do miss a carpet in a room like this but it is well styled and has all you need. Bed massive with good solid mattress. Took me a while to workout the black out blind control as there are no traditional curtains. Clean big bathroom with two basins and good size walk in shower. Easy to use safe and quality coffee making facilities. Good location for a few restaurants and spotted a bar too. Supermarket up the road. Some rooms have nice views of the surrounding hills. Finally pleasant staff who are always there to help. Bar staff were great.

GGuest UserThis charming hotel was supposed to be a one night stay for us after two weeks in the Galapagos- a final big night, New Year's Eve in Quito. Instead, we discovered on New Year's Day that our daughter had tested positive for Covid. We don't know what we would do have done had it not been for the compassion of owner Miguel, who refused to abandon us in our hour of need. He immediately arranged for a separate room with kitchenette for our daughter while my husband and I stayed in a separate room. We were all, including staff, extremely careful with regard to sanitary protocols, distancing and masking. The staff helped us with arranging for on-site local testing and other necessary arrangements. They helped us with cabs, arranging for take out dinners, and our room rate included a nourishing breakfast. We stayed for another 8 days until she tested negative and in addition received a Document of Recovery from a doctor. Convenient location allowed for easily walkable trips to the Quito marketplace, which was superb. The artful decor and plant filled patios and decks made this a charming stay. Huge shout out to Miguel, Carolina, Steven and the staff for being so gracious and kind to help us out during daughter's Covid!!

We needed a place by the airport for an overnight before flying out. The hotel arranged for a driver to pick us up which went perfectly. Very nice grounds with a pool we did not try. The room was clean, and comfortable. The manager answered all our questions on Google translate which I am now going to use. The next day we had breakfast, and left. Had to rush back to the hotel as we thought we left our passport and jacket. Found our passport deep in our luggage but we did leave the jacket at the hotel. They were so accommodating. Would stay here again. Saw a vermillion flycatcher at breakfast!

GGuest UserWe stayed here for 2 nights during a short stay in Quito. Because of Covid, many of the bars, night clubs and restaurants are still closed but this hotel is perfectly located to be a short walk to a great night out. Plaza Foch was open and we had a great dinner after a short walk there. We were at this hotel the evening of my bf's birthday and I worked with the staff to put up balloons, a happy birthday sign and some confetti while we were out for the day. It came together perfectly and I was so appreciative that they would help me with this personal touch. They also prepared snack bags with juice, fruit and a sandwich for our early trip to Banos and on the day of our early airport departure. This is a solid 3 star hotel but the experience was so much greater by the very kind and helpful staff working there.

Only complaint was bathroom light was automatically on, and very bright, at 3:00 am, was a surprise. The little cafe up the street and to the right has wholesome food. Both are nicely priced.
