Casa Carpedm

I was here twice, at the beginning and end of my trip. Felt like coming home. Fernanda is so welcoming and helpful. She always takes care that everybody will have the best experience. You will always find other guests to have a nice chat in the living room (if you want). The beds are very comfy. If I ever come back to Ecuador, I will definetly choose Casa Carpe DM again!

Had a really great experience with Vivi on City Tour. Learned a lot about city history and culture. Finished with a chocolate tasting - the best! Vivi had great recommendations and was fun to talk to. I just arrived to Quito, so this tour was a great start to my trip.

From pre trip to the time you leave (and you won’t want to by the way) you receive excellent service, which is not only timely but knowledgeable on all things Quito and across Ecuador. Thank you Fher. Casa CarpeDM is a one stop shop, but also very supportive of your other plans. They made sure my trip was as memorable as possible without the hassle. I stayed longer than I intended and would have continued on if I could. It really is home away from home. If you get the chance do their free walking tour. Malena was great. Don’t leave this walk off your itinerary!!

Starting several weeks before our stay, Fher and Kathy were answering questions and providing travel advice. With the state of emergency called 10 days before our stay we were a bit concerned but the staff were a great reassuance and resource about what was happening in Quito and Ecuador. I had booked excursions prior to booking my stay at Casa carpeDM. Had I spoke to the staff sooner, I would have booked more of my excursions (such as the Amazon) through their agency. The hostel itself is clean and well situated. The area is quiet, and you will get a good sleep, which is why i initially picked it. There's good wifi and hot water. We enjoyed the breakfast there. I would definitely advise you book the airport transfer with them as it's half the price others were paying for airport cabs. Fher was an excellent host and great resource. She definitely makes the stay enjoyable and was a huge help before and during our stay. We had an excellent holiday in Ecuador and are so thankful we didn't cancel. Good location, very comfy beds, good breakfast with fresh fruit and eggs, and very nice and helpful staff! The view from the top of the Hostal was amazing! They offer airport pickup/ transfer for 25$ each way as well. Communication before the trip was easy.
