Hotel Casona 1914 is a beautiful building on the edge of Quito's historic center. The staff is lovely, extremely helpful and speaks perfect English. That said, services are limited and there's no elevator. So think of this as more of a large B&B rather than a hotel. The breakfast is amazing and worth paying for if it's not included in your room rate. I wish I had had dinner at the hotel as I'm sure it would have been equally wonderful.

This is a wonderful hotel with restaurant. The breakfast was included. Ordering dinner in advance was required but perfect. It is a short walk to the Basilica and the Old Town of Quito. For a quiet, old colonial feel, beautiful garden and wonderfully helpful staff this is a great value. Donʻt hesitate. Book it today.

La Casona 1914 is a great place to stay in Quito. It's a very safe hotel. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfy, and the Spanish architecture is gorgeous. It's also walking distance to the historic center. The hostess was very patient with us and helped us schedule and re-schedule activities without much notice. Because of her amazing hospitality, we returned for a second stay instead of staying close to the airport. We definitely recommend this place, and suggest taking the free walking tour when you are there.

If I could give 6 stars I absolutely would! The service is just stellar. Diego and Mariel are so helpful and really make you feel welcome. I arrived late and had asked upfront if I could have a small plate and it was no problem. They also helped out when none of my cards would work at the a**. The rooms are pretty, they are clean and the beds are super super comfortable! Ow and breakfast - so tasty! And of course Otto the German shepherd who loves a cuddle in the garden. I couldn’t think of a better place to stay.

We left another nearby hotel after already paying to come back here. I travel a lot and I have relatively high expectations. This hotel is hands down one of the best I’ve been to in all my travels. The staff, the owners, the building are all top notch. I like old world charm with modern facilities and that’s what you get here. The care of the building and remodel was done meticulously. I will only stay here when visiting Quito. From Diego the owner to David and all the staff and ofcourse Otto the resident german shepherd who is more trained than my dogs!!! You can feel safe here as a solo female traveler or enjoy the beauty and decor and amazing rooms and service as a couple or family. Location is great. I recommend 100 percent and now you can eat breakfast and dinner at home!!! That’s new since my previous visit!! What a delight!

We had a great time here. They made us feel at home with nice little touches to welcome us there. It felt very safe and was in a great location for a short walk or taxi ride to the old town and they were also on hand to organise anything else we needed (including arranging a taxi to pick us up from the airport when we arrived in the country). The room was beautiful and comfortable.

Hotel Casona 1914 is very accommodating hotel! Great service, friendly and responsive staff. Our room was so cozy and cute and very comfortable. The bed is especially comfortable! We had a late night departure to go back home, and the hotel allowed us to stay in our room at no additional cost until our taxi picked us up to take us to the airport. Exceptional customer service. I highly recommend this hotel!

My husband surprised me for my birthday with an overnight at Hotel Casona 1914. I loved it! The hotel and our room had so much history, but yet was recently remodeled. The staff, especially David, is very welcoming and accommodating. Our evening included a Valentines dinner and very relaxing couples massage. And as German Shepherd lovers, we fell in love with Otto, the hotel guard dog. I highly recommend!!
