The women at Casa Joaquin could not be friendlier or more helpful! They create a very warm, cozy environment and the rooms are very clean and comfortable.

What a perfect charming hotel nestled in the big city! The neighborhood of Mariscal in Quito is more residential than the Centro Historico, and worth a stay if only to feel Parisian-like pampering of Hotel Casa Joaquin. Delightful touches in the rooms and common rooms make you feel at home and relaxed. Perfect little spots, even on the rooftop to enjoy a cup of tea and good book. Plus the location is still central enough that it's easy to reach the more touristy sites like the Mercado Artisanal or the Teleferico Quito. Would highly recommend for couples and families! Plus the owners are a family and there to help you with any travel arrangements you may need.

The place is very clean, situated in a side street, quite neighbourhood. Though the rooms are not greatly isolated. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They made a big difference. The rooms are well maintained and very clean. Some of the rooms have only windows into the indoor patio. The terrace is cute. The location is ok, especially as a first time visitor to Ecuador. Breakfast was well prepared by the staff. What could improved is the coffee.

We had a wonderful week-long stay at Casa Joaquin. The staff are incredibly friendly, and were attentive to out needs. Breakfast was delicious each morning, with a daily rotation of fruits, juice, yogourt, and other sides to go with the eggs. The decor provides abundant atmosphere and charm, as does the neighbourhood in which the hotel is located. With several cafes and restaurants nearby, it was very pleasant to walk around and explore the surrounding area. Furthermore, it is reasonably close to one of the stations of the recently established subway system, which is very convenient for getting around other parts of the city. We highly recommend Casa Joaquin, and to the wonderful staff, thank you so much for welcoming us to your beautiful country.

Why would one stay in a big chain hotel when you can experience the amazing hospitality in Casa Joaquin . Francisco and his wife couldn’t have gone to greater lengths to make our stay memorable from arranging our transfer , welcoming us on arrival to delicious breakfasts and great restaurant recommendations .

We stayed there for 2 nights, giving us a full day to explore quito. The hotel was charming, well maintained and looked like it was recently renovated. The rooms were nicely decorated and had that feeling like we were staying with someone we knew. The bathroom was also recently renovated and did not have a cramped feeling to it. Breakfast was not your usual breakfast buffet found in chain hotels. They offered a freshly made French Toast or an omlete. The buffet had fresh fruit and bread. We enjoyed it. The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We asked for a recomendation for a restaurant within walking distance that served local cuisine. They suggested a restaurant that was 2 blocks away and had excellant ecuadarian food at a reasonable price. As an retired couple, we took a taxi to the old city, as it was a little too far to walk. There was also a mis-understanding, my inquiry into pricing of the airport taxi was mis-interpreted as confirmation, which resulted in a double booking. This was quickly resolved by hotel staff.

Very clean hotel in Quito that felt like home. It served a wonderful breakfast and most of all had a lovely manager. Francesco and his wife are friendly, helpful, caring. From helping us access a medical clinic to finding a good restaurant to making car rental arrangements- we felt they went above and beyond. The owners I am sure are aware of what an asset Francesco is to the establishment!
