Stayed at both the Quito and Cotopaxi locations, really great hostels! Only gripe (which is really minor) is that the bedframes in both hostels' dorms can be quite squeaky. Staff are really helpful and there's lots of cool spaces for people to lounge!

Another fantastic stay at Secret Garden. The private rooms are small but perfectly functional, and the hostel is close to the historic centre of Quito. Special thanks to Veronica, Rosita and Gaby in the laundry who turned around our clothes between 6 and 9pm in time for our trip to the rainforest!

The rooms are comfortable, there's great hot water showers, the staff are amazing (especially Mario on reception, what a guy). The restaurant is great and so cheap, beautiful view. It's centrally located. They help with so much of onward travel. Awesome place!!!!

I would highly recommend this hostel to everyone and I would book nowhere else in Quito. Everything about this hostel is fantastic. They offer privates & dorms to suit all budgets & the staff are so accommodating and friendly. This hostel goes above and beyond. They make travelling to Quito so easy. They offer transfers to different places, give you information about everything you need & have a lovely rooftop terrace where a family style dinner is offered every night for only $5.50. (Try the family dinner it was so tasty every night we got it). The drinks on the rooftop terrace are also great, we very much enjoyed the Mojitos. Secret Garden even let us store our big bags when we went off for a two night trip to Mindo which was so helpful not having to lug the big bags with us. I will definitely be back on my next visit to Quito.

Lovely hostel with super helpful staff and good food and rinks on the rooftop! We stayed here twice and also did the walking tour which included some samples of local food and chocolate (our guide was also a local who was fantastic and super passionate) all in a great place to stay!

Love it here!!! So so fun. The people are amazing, drinks are great, food is delicious. Rooms are clean. Would come back here every time I went to Quito. Cotopaxi Secret Garden is also a dream and it's easy to get from one to another. Would recommend!

Such a lovely place and lovely staff. Stayed here for 3 different bookings and everything was lovely not until i left a small plastic ziplock bag with the security guard 28th of Aug 5am on my flight to Galapagos. It has atleast 3 sets of earrings inside, medications, and some other things. I know its my fault too why i left my valuables but i left it with the staff. When i came back he said he doesnt know. I asked the people from the tour company for help. I asked if he’s the guard on duty on aug 28 early AM coz there’s only one and they said they dont know. Whoever has it, i hope karma gets you. Otherwise lovely place!

We booked 2 days in the Quito and not 3 in Cotopaxi and it was really great, everybody is so nice, it feels that everyone is welcome here and there is a lot to do! You can travel with them and it was very organized! We will definitely come again and tell other’s about that place!
