I had a private room for one night. The bar was loud but I was able to sleep just fine. Great atmosphere. Maze-like which I found fun. Lots of hidden areas to read. The view from the roof was incredible and I loved my lunch at the rooftop restaurant. I will say. If you’re on the taller side you may find the beds a little short.

Unfortunately, I had to leave... that's how bad it was. After the first night, I complained about the noise, and they moved me to another room (private room, private bathroom which are overpriced sh*tholes). The second night was worse than the first night. They have two rules; an rule #1 is to be whisper-quiet when moving about the hostel between 10pm and 8am. However, they blast music on the rooftop until 11:00pm. Then the noise of the rooftop party continues throughout the hostel ALL NIGHT LONG! After no sleep for 2 nights, I decided I had to leave (75 countries and 1000's of accommodations, I never had to leave an accommodation early). I had already paid in full, and asked for a refund for the 3rd night, and they did not refund me. Horrible management, horrible communication, horrible all around experience!

I really enjoyed my stay here. Many great things to say: ideal location, perfect base for day trips or tours, staff is very helpful and friendly, good food that is reasonable prices, comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. Only positive things to say about this one!

This is an awesome hostel. It’s nice,clean,safe. Has excellent customer service. It is very near public transport. It offers affordable tours and transport. It gives 50% discount to customers for their rooftop restaurant. I highly recommend this hostel.

This was our second time staying at the secret garden quito and just like our first stay it was amazing! The food is delicious, beds are super comfortable and there are showering and toilet facilities at ever corner! The staff were so friendly and honestly could not do enough for us, special shout out to Diego and Mario who were especially accommodating! We will be returning for our THIRD time next week before we head off to the secret garden Cotopaxi with which the secret garden Quito arranged for us, we’re very excited! Ps. The Rooftop bar is 10/10

Stayed at both the Quito and Cotopaxi locations, really great hostels! Only gripe (which is really minor) is that the bedframes in both hostels' dorms can be quite squeaky. Staff are really helpful and there's lots of cool spaces for people to lounge!

Another fantastic stay at Secret Garden. The private rooms are small but perfectly functional, and the hostel is close to the historic centre of Quito. Special thanks to Veronica, Rosita and Gaby in the laundry who turned around our clothes between 6 and 9pm in time for our trip to the rainforest!
