Having stayed here twice before on our way to and from Santander it was an easy choice for this trip. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll return. We arrived after a 5 hour drive to find a closed sign on the door and were then told that neither the bar or restaurant were open because it was Sunday. We'd been given no prior warning about this and had a disabled member of our group who would have benifited from this information. The rooms are now dated and the paintwork marked and there seems to be a lack of care, which has not been noticeable in our last two visits. When you book a "rural" hotel you expect the services it promises.

This is the second time we have been to the hotel and would definitely visit again. Excellent service, clean rooms and fantastic views. The staff are friendly and cannot do enough for guests. The menu is limited but what we had to eat was fantastic. They have little English which only adds to the charm and ensures that you have to use any Spanish you have. Staff were very appreciative that we were able to converse in ‘pigeon’ Spanish. Ideal if you are looking for a base in Cantabria or a stopover close to Santander. Muchas gracias x

El alojamiento muy bien. La cena espectacular por el precio. Estaba buenísimo y me pareció muy bien precio . Cenamos cabrito, una ración buena a un precio muy asequible Me ha parecido perfecto. Y además amables a tope Muy recomendable por cantidad y calidad

Hemos parado a comer en este restaurante, y ha sido de 11/10. La paella buenisima, las alubias terribles y el rabo de toro…. De estrella michelin. Camarero atento y amable, buen hambiente en la zona de comidas y buen postre casero, esque hemos comido de 10. Calidad del servicio y calidad de comida.

Comedor tranquilo y acogedor en el que hay que destacar una comida sencilla, tradicional y con ingredientes de calidad. La relación calidad precio es muy buena. El dueño está dispuesto a ayudarte en que necesites y te orienta sobre platos de temporada.

Queriamos volver a la parte norte de Burgos porque hacía unos años habíamos estado en Ojos de Guareña y nos había gustado mucho , buscamos hoteles por la zona sobre todo en Orbaneja del Castillo porque habíamos visto lo de las cascadas en National Geographic, pero debido a las fechas de Semana Santa algunos establecimientos ya no tenían disponibilidad y otros eran muy caros, booking nos sugería hoteles por la zona y nos decantamos por la pradera de Marta en Quintanaentello , lo agradecemos porque fue una experiencia genial , el pueblo está muy cerca de otros pueblos de la comarca que hay que visitar: Espinosa de los Monteros, Orbaneja , Medina de Pomar , Frias , Tobera , Soncillo. Respecto al hotel muy bien comunicado , la nacional Burgos - Santander pasa por delante , el aparcamiento es muy grande , la habitación esta muy bien: amplia, muy espaciosa y con balcón con vistas a la entrada , muy calentita para la época y la atención de los gerentes , lo mejor , cenamos allí el viernes y sábado y a destacar tanto la variedad de la carta como la calidad - precio de la comida , además de las sugerencias que nos hicieron a la hora de tomar el vino . Una vez más recalco el trato tan estupendo que tuvimos por parte de los dueños y espero visitarlos pronto.

Hemos llegado sobre las 15:30 y sin problemas para comer y nos han dado un menú de 14€ en día de labor. Las cantidades muy majas buena comida y buena atención del personal. Merece la pena parar. Es un hotel rural cerca de Soncillo en la carretera del Escudo.
