I stayed for two nights in December as I was going to watch the UP Lantern Parade and I needed a place to stay in while I was in QC. I didn't have any expectations booking here, but the photos seem to be good enough. When I arrived, I'm pretty content with the room, very spacious, looks a bit outdated, but I can deal with it. Seems clean too. My only issue with the room was the shower drain. The shower floor was tilted on the opposite side of the drain, so the water was collecting to one side instead of the actual drain. I stayed in the standard double room. I noticed based on the room images projected on their reception area that the deluxe room seems to have one less dresser cabinet so it seems like the standard is a better option, unless the deluxe has bigger beds. Staff are very nice, they always greeted me when I come and go. Contrary to the previous reviews (which was from a year ago), they now accept credit card for payment. They do need P1000 for deposit, which you can get back when you check out, so it's better if you provide cash as reversal might take a while if you're using your credit card. The hotel doesn't offer breakfast, but the area has a lot of "karinderya" where you can buy your food from. There are also laundry shops and convenience stores nearby. As for location, it is very near to the Katipunan LRT station and walking distance to the UP-Katipunan jeepney station.
