This resort is a hidden gem! From the time you enter the resort grounds you will be amazed by the beauty of this property. There is something very magical awaiting you. The accommodations are beautiful and a staff that is top notch. The food was fantastic along with amazing atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and visit this amazing resort on unspoiled coastline and let the crashing of waves put you to sleep each night.

Absolutely terrible experience, I call the hotel in order to get some information regarding my reservation, Johanna took my phone call, the signal was bad but she just yelled at me angry and extremely rude because I wasn't able to get what she was saying, I just canceled my reservation, I can't imagine how poor the attention must be

This place is a spectacular hidden gem that is worth going a little out of your way for. It’s an easy drive from Puerto Vallarta and they are happy to help with driving arrangements. We were recently there for five nights and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The accommodations are gorgeous, the food was incredibly good, and the nicest people work there. They really were happy to do anything they can to make our stay more pleasant (not that much was necessary!). We did the property tour soon after our arrival, and we are glad we did as it gave us a real idea of the size and beauty of the property. We spent a day at a private beach with a picnic, which was so nice. The pool and beach were beautiful, and it was easy to relax in either place, as well as on the terrace at our room. I think this is about as perfect a place as there is in the world. We loved it! I think it would be equally lovely to visit with friends, or with a family.

This being our sixth or seventh visit to Las Alamandas. Truly paradise for us. We enjoy listening to the ocean, visiting the many beaches, watching the bird life, and so much more. The staff is beyond exceptional. Always there with a smile and offer to provide whatever we might need. I highly recommend Las Alamandas to whomever wants a special place to enjoy today and to return to tomorrow. Bob

Las Alamandas was a truly exceptional experience. The rooms are way bigger and way nicer than pictured on the website, and feel very authentic to Mexico, but the real star here is the property itself. It's so rare these days to have a truly wild beach (and all to yourself!). The main beach at the pool area is gorgeous, but the other beaches are truly exceptional. You can have a half mile long sandy beach 100% to yourself to walk and explore. Coatamundi tracks, crabs, tons of cool birds, etc. and setup with your own loungers and picnic. We did this two days in a row we loved it so much. Take the free property tour to see everything... we ended up spending nearly 2 hours exploring around in the 4x4 with Victor and the property, vistas, wildlife, farms, etc are too amazing to describe. Know that the hotel itself is VERY quiet and sleepy, to the point that we didnt even really see many other people at sunset hour (where is everyone?! its the most beautiful time of the day!!). I could easily see spending a week here and just turning into goo with relaxation which I think is what many other guests did. The service approach is hands off, but if you need anything ever just ask and the friendly staff will bring it to you right away. Food was simple and fresh, we particularly loved the breakfasts and the ceviches / aguachiles. I'll also note that all the details here are really on point (NICE towels and linens in the rooms, beautiful room cleaning service, turndown with cookies in a jar, gorgeous plate settings at all meals, lots of cool art, etc). Feels high end but authentic and 100% not pretentious.

Wow. What a special place. We found Las Alamandas on our way home from our annual trip to Boca de Iguanas in December 2022. We looked further into it when we got home and booked it right away for 2023. We booked the beachfront suite and it was perfect. authentic decor and sweeping views of the sea with our own private stairway to the beach. The real gold was to find out for the first two night we had the property to ourselves! We arrived later than anticipated and they offered us dinner in the room. Food was excellent but it was the starry sky that had us breathless. The property tour is a must to understand the scope of what you are experiencing. I did a horseback ride on the beach and we enjoyed a perfectly executed private beach day…even though we had the main beach to ourselves. The pool is perfect and the boutique was so fun. Please go here…it’s a gem.

We recently returned from our third vacation at Las Alamandas, and it remains a truly special resort. The hotel can be reached by a private plane or a two and one-half hour car trip from Puerto Vallarta or Mazatlan. We chose the less expensive but longer option and actually enjoyed seeing the beautiful countryside along the famed Costalegre. Entering the 2,000 acre property is like disappearing from the world and entering a private paradise, and we felt very safe. With 18 units and multiple beaches, there is plenty of privacy and room to explore. The hotel itself is stunning, a complex of colorful buildings surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens and overlooking an unspoiled private beach and the deep blue sea. Our spacious one-bedroom villa was filled with local art and craftsmanship, including a large terrace facing the ocean with a private spa. The hotel’s beauty is enhanced by the lovely people, their attentive service and the outstanding food. Yojana and Maria made us feel special when we made our reservation, scheduled activities and had questions or special requests. We enjoyed massages by the beach, working out in the gym and touring a couple of units with the operations manager that we hope to reserve on our next visit. Alma cleaned and cared for our unit with as much care as if it was her own home. She also made beautiful designs with flower petals on our bed each day. Nazario, Pablo and Paco took excellent care of us in the dining areas and with room service. What a treat to enjoy every meal outdoors, listening to the waves and admiring the stars and scenery, while enjoying exquisite meals. Most of the food is produced on the property or locally. We especially enjoyed the fresh fruits and vegetables, the local seafood and the traditional Mexican dishes. We couldn't get enough of the ceviche and pico de gallo! The talented chef consistently created some of the best resort food we’ve ever enjoyed. The margaritas were delicious, too. We spent much of our time reading on our terrace, admiring the sunsets and walking on the beach. Twenty-two years ago, we took our children to Las Alamandas. They spent the majority of their time on the beach or in the pool, but they also enjoyed riding horses on the beach, fishing, playing tennis, competing with the giant chess set, and climbing on the playground. If you are looking for a romantic escape or some quality family time in a quiet location where you can unwind in luxury and nature, Las Alamandas will fulfill your dreams. We continue to recommend it most highly!

I have read already some articles about the property and the owner and was looking forward to visiting. The property is far away from the hustle and bustle of PVR, it is in fact almost a three hours drive, but worth the long trip. The area is relatively unspoiled and there are only few hotels and other developments. The property is huge (800 hectares) and extremely beautiful. You can take a tour in a small Jeep to see and enjoy the beauty. There are four beaches, all are very secluded. As I love to make long beach walks, they are fantastic. Only downside is that the sea is relatively rough so only good swimmers are encouraged to go into the ocean. One beach which is small has a more quite ocean, good for swimming also for beginners. What I loved is to take a bike tour in the property. It is really amazing to enjoy the nature without other people. And this is the biggest luxury here. The hotel is spread out and has only 16 rooms, so it won’t get crowded, and this is a great fact. We were most of the time on our own, enjoying the peace. The rooms are a bit dated, I recommend not to book the standard rooms as they are old. The beachfront rooms are nicely located, you’ll sit on your terrace and enjoy the ocean. The rooms are big. However some things are dated, like the water in the sink and bathtub takes very long to run away. The food is very good. I liked the fresh fish, be it as ceviche be it grilled snapper etc. the chef is really good and he also made some special dishes for me. I also liked their desserts, in particular the tres leches cake. They offer massages. Cassandra is one of the best massage therapists I know, really great job done. And their tennis pro, Leo, was excellent so we booked him every day. A few things to note: - service is very limited and sometimes almost not existent. For example the staff never come to the pool and ask if you want something to drink. For my tennis lesson, they did not automatically provide water and I had to ask for it. For the massage, they also do not provide water. I asked if someone could help me to move the heavy umbrellas at the pool, unfortunately never ever did someone appear. Turndown service was done most of the time poorly. - Management: very important and linked to the above, the manager on duty never came and asked how we were doing and if he could do something for us. This is a pity, as most small luxury hotels provide such personal service. With this little effort, this could be the perfect place. Most probably this is due to the fact that the owner was not there during our stay (I heard that service is much better when she is around). - Rooms: as written above, the rooms are a bit dated and need some update. They are relatively simple with limited luxury. For me this was not an issue, but some people might find it too simple. So be aware the luxury here lies with the beautiful property and not with the service. Despite these downsides I really appreciate the time spent there. The lu
