The room is clean and comfortable, but the bed above the door is close to the door. It is a bit stuck to the dressing table to climb up. This part of the suggestion can be improved, but overall the service is very good and the traffic location is convenient.

A great experience for a female solo traveler. I
Pros
I shared a female dorm with three other women and had a great time getting to know those coming in and out. The shared bathroom was always clean (cleaned every day).
The communal kitchen is large and well-organised. You can make use of condiments that get left behind. As it was still cold, there are always fires burning both in reception and the common room. It makes the atmosphere very cosy.
The best service I got was from their information desk, which is located in the reception area. As I didn't have a credit card and businesses like Snowbiz in town don't accept cash, I was able to pay for ski passes and rental by making a booking at the service desk (they have a card machine and also accept cash).
Cons
This side of the hostel where my room was located, just experiences a lot of noise, as there are bars down below, despite the sliding door being sound-proof. Not all the reading lamps for each bed work and also need to be fixed. The shower leaked a lot of water, as the glass door doesn't properly close.
Overall though, a great stay and value for money. You do save on accommodation, as QT is an expensive town to visit.

It's close to Queenstown, clean and convenient on foot.
It's easy to get around, and you can drink hot water, coffee, and tea for free at the Benteen machine on each floor of the hotel. Diman's room had a window, but it couldn't be opened, which was a bit inconvenient.

Pros: the hotel room was really clean and spacious
Location was good, really near the main shops area
Cons: the hotel informed there was no parking available as their carpark was full and it was first come first serve. So guests are expected to circle the hotel vicinity for a lot when they arrive? Especially when it’s stated that parking is available onsite.
Front desk staff was really rude with an attitude. She suggested street parking but I told her I wasn’t comfortable with parallel parking and she just got really rude with a take it or leave it attitude. We booked two rooms but she only gave one room’s card and I had to remind her for the other room’s card.
Anyways. The hotel is a maze where we had to take lift to a different level, walk to a different building and take another lift to get to the room. Abit creepy for solo travellers.
Overall; the rooms are well maintained but beware of the lack of parking + rude staff

Holiday Inn Express and Suites is a lovely place to stay in. Booked a room facing the mountains and lake. Beautiful views every morning. Convenient as it is close to Queenstown Centre where there are many eating places and restaurants, including the famous Fergburger.
Although I read about it being on a steep slope, I went ahead to book the place as Queenstown Botanic Gardens is just opposite a few streets away. Decided to take a longer but gentler walk back to the hotel from Queenstown Centre so that the walk is not that tiring.
Highly recommend this place as the staff is so friendly and hospitable. Close to Skyline & meeting place for Milford Sound Tour.Would definitely stay here again if I visit Queenstown.

Really really nice for solo traveler. I stayed here for 3 nights and found everything amazing for this price. Especially it’s not at the Center of Queenstown so you won’t hear the noice of people partying at night. The closet they got in the room was suitable for storing skis too. Very good choice for people who want good sleep and lodge vibe after skiing.

Location good bec it's only about 800m to town area.
They didn't Vacum the floor even though they clear the garbage. Not suitable for those who have knee problem bec need to climb quite a lot of stairs. Parking is not easy as need to park away from allocated room. View is nice from balcony.

The upper floor of the checkin office is a large suite with two rooms with a total of six beds, but it is charged according to the number of people. The kitchenware is relatively simple and not suitable for Chinese food. It is a 10-minute walk from the town and parking is free. It is a cost-effective choice in Queenstown.

Outstanding
GGuest UserIt is clean, quiet and a very nice hostel! Except the room next door was a little loud on my second night of stay. The toilet and bathroom was clean too. Everything is good except hairdryer needs to be change. Would come back! And location is walking distance to the town.
GGuest UserLovely lake view from the room and hotel terrace. Queenstown stay become even pleasant with this location. Friendly staffs, bar menu drinks and breakfast was awesome. Its 10/10 place to be , adding sugar on top for Queenstown city
DDarwin KanWe booked a room with two single beds and yet they provided us with a King size bed upon arrival. We expressed our concern to the reception and they said there is no guarantee for the room type booked especially during peak season, and they even said it is a common situation in New Zealand, which I personally haven’t encountered in other 4 hotels during my stay. I ended up paying extra for an extra bed so that my frd and I can sleep separately. The customer service from trip.com provided assistance instantly when we expressed our concern to them and they agreed to compensate the extra that I paid. Apart from that, the hotel is clearly understaffed as there were times that there is no one at the reception and I didn’t think the staff were very attentive and helpful either. Also, there were not enough parking space in there car park so we were forced to park outside the hotel as directed by the staff but then the staff called our room at 6:30 the next morning telling us to park our car back into the garage as people started leaving. All things aside, the location of the hotel is great as it is beside the lake and is close to the city centre. To conclude, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to others.
JJansenMarkHad to stay an extra night in Queenstown, due to a weather event. Booked Quality Inn, using new TRIP app. Everything went very smoothly from then on. Green Cabs dropped us to door in pouring rain, staff were pleasant, friendly, sorted room, spa and dinner reservations in a jiffy. Monika stands out, with her pleasant smile and blue hair :-) Didn't catch the name of the tall gentleman on the bar, and also waited on our table at dinner. Opened Bar early, so we could enjoy a wee drink before dinner. Had a nice wine selection. Good variety of GF meals and snacks. Even organised Green Cabs again the next morning to get our flight. All in all a great stay, and we will be back.
EEVGENIISituated in the breathtaking Te Anau region, the hotel provided a stunning backdrop for an unforgettable stay. The rooms were spacious and elegantly furnished, offering magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and lakes. The attentive staff catered to every need, ensuring a memorable experience, made it an excellent choice for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers.
GGuest UserPounamu apartments super suites are the upstairs units with a small balcony. The view over the lake and the mountains was really nice, especially after a snowfall overnight. Inside the unit, the kitchen was very functional with oven, cooktop and microwave. Air conditioning and fake fireplace kept the unit to a reasonable heat at the start of winter but this may be an issue in the middle of winter. The shower had great water pressure and great hot water. It too about 15 minutes to walk into the city centre but the walk back along the lake requires a walk up a hill which was a little taxing so the main road is a better way back. Short drive to New World and Woolworths in Frankton.
GGuest UserVERY GOOD SERVICE AND VIEW AND FACILITY. WE WILL VISIT YOU AGAIN FOR SURE. BUT THERE IS SOMETHING STRANG. WE 5 PERSONS STAY THERE FROM 2/12-2/15 (2 ROOMS)AND WE HAD PREPAID VIA AGENCY TRIP.COM. BUT YOU FURTHER CHRGE ME 968.66 NZD ON 2/12. DEPOSITS?

PLEASE LET ME KNOW! THANKS!
GGuest UserWe LOVED our stay at this accomodation. The staff were extremely helpful, welcoming and even upgraded our booking to include a mountain view room and breakfast. Thank you!
It is close to town and along the bus line making it very easy to get around. The included breakfast was lovely. We would definitely stay here again.
GGuest UserEnjoyed our stay. Very comfortable beds, good sized room and nice and quiet even though we overlooked the road. We have stayed here a couple of times before and notice that it is starting to show its age but that said its clean and is being fairly well maintained . The lodge style that it used to have has been eroded with a big TV over the fireplace and loud music playing in the bar, so its not a place to sit and relax, which is a shame. The room was a little on the cold side as there is a vent near the door that blows out icy cold air so you have to have the heat pump on which then dries you out but there was an extra blanket so its pretty cosy once you are in bed. When I asked for an extra pillow a selection of 4 different kinds got delivered which was great and the service was excellent. Parking was free, which is a bonus as most places charge. Despite the very minor negatives we would stay here again.
