"The location is very good, the real lake view room. From the outside, the building looks a bit dated, but the rooms are typical motels with clean beds. That is, the bathroom window of our room is connected to the corridor, if someone in the corridor can hear it better. There is a door between the other two standard rooms, so the sound insulation effect is average."
"Going out from the side door is the downtown area of Queenstown, which is very convenient. And the location is at the entrance to Queenstown, so you don't have to go through the urban traffic jam to go to the airport or Arrow town. There is nothing to say about the location.
The disadvantage is that there are kitchen and tableware but no pepper, salt and salad oil. I asked the counter and the reply was to go to the supermarket to buy it by myself. Also the oven in the room was malfunctioning and couldn't be used.
The service attitude is good. It was very hot on the day we arrived, but the hotels and apartments in Queenstown have no air-conditioning, only electric fans (super noisy), and there is only one, so I asked by phone to borrow another fan, and I was very polite. Look inside the counter (the counter is closed).
Considering the overall location and cp value is very good, but it would be better if the equipment can be strengthened."
"The décor of the rooms were excellent and the small touches - such as the music that plays when you walk into the room, and the small bar area, the art work, and the welcome book - were really special. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were quite, and the size of the room was prefect for two people. There is a sauna available to use by in-house guests, which is excellent after a long hike. Overall, the quality of the room was value for money.
There is also a restaurant, but sadly it was not open the day that we stayed (Monday). We were quite upset about that as we had read very good reviews about the chef and food quality! Whilst the staff were nice at check in, they did not give much information about the premises (i.e. they didn't give us a tour or anything), and we had to ask a lot of questions.
The location is outside of town, but a short drive if you have a car, or a short bus ride (the bus stop is right outside the hotel).
Overall, I would highly recommend to stay here!"

"Environment: The most important thing is the environment. It is right in the center of Queenstown. Open the window and you will see the largest lake.
Facilities: There is a small happy hour living room with many Chinese elements and a wide variety of wines.
Hygiene: Hygiene is okay, but water easily flows out of the bathing area
Service: The young lady who received me in Queenstown on the first day was very enthusiastic."
"Walked out onto the balcony and we were met with these stunning views.
The time that we visited (May) meant that it was slightly too cold to be out on the balcony for too long, but the views that we enjoyed out of the window were magnificent.
When the first arrived the lady on the front desk was very friendly, and helpful.
We had asked for a double bed and had been allocated two single beds. She quickly contacted the ladies from house keeping and they very kindly sprung into action to help rectify the situation.
The housekeeping staff were nice and pleasant, and the location was just right for us to get out and about visiting some of the local attractions like the Kiwi birdlife park.
The big plus about staying at the highview apartments was having a parking space. When you visit queenstown you'll soon find out that in some places finding a parking space is like gold dust."
"The location of this hotel is very good. It is right in the center of the town and you can walk to the most beautiful shore in three minutes. Anyway, it's convenient to go anywhere. The only problem is that you may have to look for parking on the roadside. The hotel room is really big, and the equipment and speakers inside are very good. It's also close to a bar, so it's a bit noisy at night. Everything in the refrigerator is free except alcohol, and there are unlimited refills. For breakfast, it is beautifully prepared on site downstairs. I remember that the big breakfast was about 30 New Zealand dollars. It is worth commenting and worth staying at."
"There seems to be a new building and an old building, and we stayed in the old building. It felt a little worn, but I think it had the best tableware and facilities. I didn't really understand how to use the TV in the room, but we could only watch one channel.
It's also about a 12-minute walk to the downtown area of the port. It's a convenient location. I was impressed by the smiling young lady at the front desk who tried her best to help us."
"The location is quite good, you can walk to and from the city center.
They operate several accommodation buildings, so you can park right in front of the entrance, but if there is no space, you have to park on the street. However, I remember that there were always cars.
The accommodation had a bit of a peculiar smell, but the facilities were new and not very comfortable.
The staff were very friendly, so there was no difficulty in checking in and out.
There were no other inconveniences."
"This Holiday Park was very clean for us and a child. The facilities provided here exceed expectations where there is a place to cook.
A very strategic location with the town of Queenstown only walking distance to the beautiful lake.
The staff here are also very helpful by providing advice to us where we plan to go skiing and are advised to go early in the morning with the weather forecast being quite good in the morning at 10.00 am."
"I recently stayed in this hotel-style apartment, and the experience was beyond my expectations! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was warmed by the warm fragrance and butler-style service. The front desk lady not only checked me in quickly, but also hand-painted a map of nearby food~
The room is completely a ”dream house”! The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows frame the city night view like an oil painting, and the open kitchen is equipped with capsule coffee machines and imported seasonings."

Very Good
GGuest UserGreat location and service. Every bed has a curtain, a light and a shelf to put little things.
Noisy at night when people step on the stairs and chat with each other really loudly even though you can see the signs ”10pm-7am quiet time” everywhere.
GGuest UserThe room is as clean and user-friendly as always. Holiday Inn abroad is really the first choice for cost-effectiveness. There is a parking space. It is very good to stay for one night. It is also convenient to buy burgers and so on in the city. The view is not much. It is mainly for staying. If you want a view, you still have to go to the Lake View Hotel. Hahahaha, recommended
HHappy starterThe room is very big and the balcony has fantastic view. We stayed for 3 nights with breakfast included. It was disappointing as our 3 breakfast meals were exactly the same. The car parking is good but may not be available if you are late coming back.
DDOY_TXWI recently stayed at this hotel for a short trip while looking for a room with a lake view, easy access to the airport, and proximity to town. Overall, the hotel met my basic expectations, offering both comfort and convenience.
Pros:
- Spotless and well-maintained room.
- Room with two double beds was spacious and perfect for four adults.
- 24-hour reception for assistance at any time.
- Convenient access to public transport, with a bus stop (Bus 1) about an 8-minute walk away.
- Great dining options, including in-room dining and a restaurant with stunning views of the lake.
- Unobstructed, picturesque lake views from rooms on level 4.
- Courtyard with seating areas with beautiful views.
- Swimming pools.
Cons:
- The hotel is located on an uphill slope, which might be inconvenient for some who is not driving.
- No balcony to enjoy the view outdoors in room.
- No microwave in the room.
It offers a pleasant and comfortable stay. The beautiful lake views and great dining options make it worthwhile. I would definitely recommend it to family and friends!
MMary Beatrice JamerlanLyLo’s location is super convenient and ideal for tourists since it’s right in the city center and walking distance to restaurants (like Fergburger) and a bunch of shops 💯 not to mention it’s surrounded by great views 🤩 rooms are clean and services are complete
TTA very beautiful hotel which needs a bit of uphill walk for about 15 mins from the town centre. There're no shops restaurants in the neighbourhood but one can eat at its restaurant or room service. The room itself is very spacious, clean, well equipped and our room overlooks the lake which is great. The pickup point for Milford Sound tour we joined is along the street in front of the hotel (Stanley Street).
I tried the buffet breakfast which is so so with limited choices.
Overall I love this hotel especially the price is great compared with other hotels at the very central location.
MMatthew LimSwiss Belsuites was our favourite accommodation across the 9 accommodations we stayed during our holiday in New Zealand! We absolutely love how spacious the place is. Huge cooking space with a comfortable living room with a large L-shaped sofa made for many nights in to cook our own dinner, which was made even easier with the provision of two dishwashing machines and almost every cooking equipment/cutleries you may need. It is also the only accommodation where we got to enjoy using a smart TV where we could easily use our own subscription accounts (via scanning QR codes) to stream videos during our dinners. The bedroom is also really comfortable and the toilet was very clean as well. We also had our washing machine and dryer, which was really useful as we were in New Zealand for two weeks. The best part of our stay was the view of Lake Wakitipu which we could enjoy from our living room. Was such a great stay that we were so sad to check out at the end. Highly recommended!!
AAnonymous UserA convenient location outside Queenstown, less than 15 minutes drive. Also easy to go to Arrowtown for a half day. We'll-planned bathroom layout with hooks and rails around for bathtowels, clothings.
Ssuper酷酷鴨Stayed here for two days in a row. The location is very good. I chose it because the introduction said there is free parking. Currently, this youth hostel has 3-4 parking spaces in front of the door, first come first served. Otherwise, you need to go to Hamilton Road to find one (which is often full). You need to bring your own shower gel and shampoo, which is not very convenient. Other than that, I can give it a very high score. The youth hostel has cooperation discount codes with some attractions, you can ask the front desk to get them. If you are traveling alone, I still recommend them.
NNelA great experience for a female solo traveler. I
Pros
I shared a female dorm with three other women and had a great time getting to know those coming in and out. The shared bathroom was always clean (cleaned every day).
The communal kitchen is large and well-organised. You can make use of condiments that get left behind. As it was still cold, there are always fires burning both in reception and the common room. It makes the atmosphere very cosy.
The best service I got was from their information desk, which is located in the reception area. As I didn't have a credit card and businesses like Snowbiz in town don't accept cash, I was able to pay for ski passes and rental by making a booking at the service desk (they have a card machine and also accept cash).
Cons
This side of the hostel where my room was located, just experiences a lot of noise, as there are bars down below, despite the sliding door being sound-proof. Not all the reading lamps for each bed work and also need to be fixed. The shower leaked a lot of water, as the glass door doesn't properly close.
Overall though, a great stay and value for money. You do save on accommodation, as QT is an expensive town to visit.
