We took our little family with young 3 children with us on this trip and we had the best time staying at this place. The kids loved to stay here a lot. We could see the beautiful views from both our bedroom and the living room. The view is stunning. The place is clean and spacious. The kitchen, bathroom and laundry are are all well-maintained. Great location as only a few minutes drive to all the main places, restaurants, shops/ supermarkets. We will definitely come back to stay next time we’re in Queenstown.

It's far from the town center, there's no food around, you have to find your own seat, there's no front desk, everything is self-service, I called many times all day but couldn't get through, the hygiene is the worst I've ever lived in, who would dare to use your quilt? It's so disgusting. It's so hot during the day and there's no air conditioning. The hotel is old and outdated. The hotel is halfway up the hill and you have to carry your luggage up the stairs by yourself. To sum it up in one word, it's terrible! I have never stayed in such a rubbish hotel. Whoever stays in such a hotel will be unlucky.

The historic house has been renovated with great charm. Very good value for money, lake view room, very quiet. Hygiene standards are very high, and the front desk staff are very considerate and always ask if they need help. Milk and coffee are also provided. This is the most satisfying hotel in this trip to New Zealand. It is right by the lake and the scenery is superb. The kitchen is fully equipped and all the tableware is very good. It feels like home and is suitable for a week's stay. Walking down from the hotel is the Frankton walkway. You can walk along the lake to the center of the town. It takes about 30 minutes. This should be its only drawback. However, for Queenstown, which is already suitable for strolling, this distance can be ignored. In addition, it is basically full self-service, and I have never seen the front desk open 😅

The heater is broken and repaired, but they will not change the room. You can only use the oil heater they took out from the cellar to barely keep warm.
