Overall our stay in Copthrone hotel is amazing! Thank you Copthorne team! You guys are awesome! We got the family deluxe room with lake view - got 2 king beds, stayed for 6 days 5 nights. And it’s spacious! The view is stunning and loving it! There’s a gym and spa pool (need to reserve beforehand) inside the hotel! And there some parking in the hotel, you can park behind suburbs st if the car park is full. The room is warm and I really like the bed, it’s not too soft and give 2 pillows per person. Also there’s laundry service using coins, you also can change it from the reception if you do not have any cash. Toilet is nice, also have great water pressure. It would be great if they can provide utensils and plates. We did some groceries but there’s no equipment to use. Definitely will return to this hotel if I come to Queenstown again.

Worth the money but it’s an old hotel that just went under renovation. Breakfast so so, can be better with more variety. Located near the queenstown garden and it’s only 10mins drive to centre.

The room is very big and the balcony has fantastic view. We stayed for 3 nights with breakfast included. It was disappointing as our 3 breakfast meals were exactly the same. The car parking is good but may not be available if you are late coming back.

Nice double story apartment with terraces on both levels with amazing views of Queenstown. 10 min walk from central Queenstown. Bit dated but no troubles.Would recommend. Views from apartment

I recently stayed at this hotel for a short trip and was looking for a room with a lake view, easy access to the airport, and proximity to town. It met my basic expectations.
Pros:
- Clean and well-maintained room.
- Room size is comfortable for two adults.
- 24-hour reception is very convenient.
- Bus stops (Bus 1) are right in front of the hotel.
- The balcony with chairs and a table offers a serene view of the river.
- Buffet breakfast starts early at 6:30 AM, which is great for me as my coach to Lake Tekapo was at 8am.
- Room comes with all necessities, plus a microwave, which was a huge bonus for me.
Cons:
- Booked a lake-view room, but the view was partially blocked by bushes/trees as the room was on Level 2.
Located next to a busy main road, and passerby visibility made it feel less private.
Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel to family and friends for its convenience and comfort.

It was quite inconvenient. I had luggage that needed to be carried up multiple staircases, and the concierge didn’t offer any help, even though I was with three toddlers. The room heater also wasn’t working, and we were cold at night.”
