Central location 1. The hotel is only worth 2 stars at best and only with a lot of goodwill. There are guest houses that are much better in terms of both quality and quantity and offer better service! 2. Reception: the first impression: helpful staff. 3. It was a bit irritating that only a hand signal and the words "the rooms are in this direction" showed us the way to our room. 4. Elevator: unfortunately we had to use the elevator. The first thing that caught our eye was the large board with instructions on what to do in an emergency. This was certainly foresighted - the elevator jolted its way to the respective floors with a lot of noise. The hotel management probably wanted to encourage guests to use the stairs to work off the more than meager breakfast. 5. Anyone who didn't come to breakfast until 9:30 had to make do with the leftovers. Nothing was refilled - never! The food was also so poorly prepared that it didn't even work up an appetite. The quality of the food was in line with very simple cuisine. Sausage and cheese were cheap. Some fruit and vegetables and there was also something for muesli fans. Juices: when the jug was empty, it was not refilled but when asked, it was simply mentioned that the juice was finished. 6. Room: sufficiently large, but very worn. Carpeting looks very dirty. Luckily we always have hotel slippers with us so we didn't have to touch the floor barefoot. Mattresses OK. The bathroom in our case was large, probably a room designed for people with limited mobility. Very large shower with a good shower attachment that didn't just drip. A second look showed that the wiper strip on the floor urgently needed cleaning. The joints in the tiles also needed to be scrubbed; the first signs of mold were visible. 7. We specifically asked for a quiet room. The room was quiet, but the cars driving along the cobblestone street, some with loud music, ruined the peace and quiet. Of course, garbage also has to be disposed of, but unfortunately we were suddenly woken up early in the morning by the rumbling of the garbage truck and the accompanying noise. There was no air conditioning, which would have made it possible to keep the windows closed. 8. Contrary to the hotel description, a bathrobe had to be requested. When we asked why the bathrobes were not already in the room, we were told that the hotel management had ordered it that way... we then received the bathrobes. 9. We did not use the wellness area. 10. According to the hotel folder, you can pay the hotel bill the evening before you leave. We wanted to do that and pay in cash. But no, that was not possible - apparently you cannot make the booking the evening before. So I asked for my wallet with a large sum of money to be put in the hotel safe (this is also recommended in the hotel folder for valuables)
