I liked the hotel location and facilities. The indoor pool was amazing and the live stage was so good. I would definitely visit here again and book the terrace view next time. However, there are few things that I was very dissapointed. The room was not managed well. There are white things are around the floors (it looks like painting or wall paper. I asked to change the room, but the new room has the same problem). Hair dryer was phsically broken and not working. Heater is not working and when I turn on, it is very noisy. There was a party when we stayed and it was very noisy until almost 1 pm. We called at 12:30 and the reception said they send a security. However, it was still noisy after 30 mins).

We spent three nights at this property last week and we are so glad we did. Our room was pristine and spacious--and quiet. We were on the second level (considered the first) and we couldn't hear any sounds from the street, hallway or neighboring rooms. We were early for check-in so we parked on a nearby street and had a great lunch at the restaurant that shares the entrance with the hotel, Bistro Hortus (not sure if they are related but convenient and delicious option if you need to eat during your stay). While eating lunch the restaurant texted to say our room was ready and we pulled up on the side small street and checked in and unloaded our bags. We were given a ticket for a parking garage that was diagonal to the hotel. It really couldn't have been easier. We were able to take the car out at our convenience--which we did to visit Montmorency Falls and Ile d'Orleans (loved both, easy drive). We enjoyed the common room---we filled our water jugs (they have them to borrow too), enjoyed complimentary espressos, played Scrabble and borrowed a book. It really was a nice spot if you needed to just sit after a long day of exploring the city by foot (or bike). The location was perfect for us. We would set out and purposely get lost--or we would head to a specific restaurant or historic site and they were all walkable. Although we didn't need help with restaurants the staff seemed really helpful with recommendations. And they were very friendly every time we interacted with them. If you like sushi, Masaru is a few doors down and I am still thinking about it. It was excellent and a nice break from the cuisine we were (really!) enjoying. We also had wonderful dinners at Chez Rioux & Pettigrew, Legende and Ophelia. All walkable. We would definitely stay here again. A real gem of a property in a welcoming and beautiful city.

The rooms are a bit dated and very dark. It's unfortunate that you can't open the window for fresh air. The room smelled heavily of cleaning product and musty air each time we entered. The staff are all incredible. The location is perfect. The bedroom and bathroom are very spacious. It just needs a refresh in the bedrooms to make them brighter and more modern looking. Plus, some additional airflow to reduce the stale air.

The hotel is quite close to the attractions. There are restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance. Did not go to breakfast, the Queen bed is very comfortable and the space is very large. The environment and layout are very comfortable, the staff understand English and French and are very welcoming. And the hotel rooms are relatively quiet.

This place is really special. They have a gracious, energetic staff who provide attentive but unpretentious hospitality. Room was meticulously clean and the whole place is beautifully decorated. Location is great - it’s at the bottom of the big hill, in a relatively quiet part of the old town, however just a couple of blocks from the Petite Champlain (get up early to avoid crowds there - at 7am I took photos with no one in them and got a nice coffee). This was a splurge for me, but I won’t ever forget staying here.

Half way through our stay here. The rooms are lovely and clean, and updated to modern expectations in an old building. Staff have been wonderful. Really good value for money. The only downside so far has been the restaurant (Louise Taverne &Bar a Vin). As we were checking in to the hotel this morning, other customers told us the place is lovely but not to eat here. We decided to go anyway, just wanting a drink while we waited for our laundry to dry… and we may have thought about eating there if all was ok. We were totally ignored, despite trying to attract the attention of the man in charge of the outside area (around a dozen tables, four of which were occupied). We asked someone else if we could sit down. They referred us to him. We waited while he cleaned a couple of tables, walked past us to talk to someone, walked inside and fiddled around in there for a while, walked out again and cleaned a couple more tables, went round us to get to another table where he rearranged the setting. Walked back to near where we were standing and then turned around to chat to some people he had served since we had been there. Don’t know what sort of self-important trip he was on but we left and will not return. But… that led to a delightful experience at 900 Rue Saint-Paul across the road (separate review coming).

Facilities: Before going there, I heard that the facilities might be old, but in fact they are fine and worth experiencing. Environment: The location is excellent and the hotel atmosphere is very suitable for travel check-in Service: Very considerate, there will be staff who will give business cards when checking in to contact you for help and service needs.

This hotel is located in a very convenient location, near the walls of Old Quebec City, the reason why we chose it. We arrived on a Tuesday, late afternoon and were VERY frustrated that we waited in line for ONE HOUR to check in to the hotel. There were only five groups checking in, before us. There was one employee and a manager, the manager was training the employee. The manager refused to check people in herself, was curt, and kept telling clients not to approach the reception desk until called forward. The wait was unacceptable, made worse by the impolite manager. The room was clean but cold and sterile. The linoleum wood-look floors made sound echo and were not warm. The room had no couch, only 2 plastic-covered rocking chairs that would have been better placed in a retirement home. Meals and parking are not included in the standard rate, making it more expensive for a basic room, than what it seems. Booking online, the quote for 2 adults for 3 nights in a basic suite, was $711. With parking and a room hold, the charge was over $930 CAD for 3 nights.

The location was a big decision in choosing this hotel and it did not disappoint! It is literally in the center of everything and steps away from sights, shopping, restaurants but also away from the noise of bus loads of tourists. The security of the hotel was a great bonus as a solo female traveler! Staff was friendly, the rooms/common areas were always spotless and the decor makes this place a unique spot for sure. I simply loved it and will absolutely be back.

VVon von123**Location and Accessibility:** The Hilton Quebec boasts a prime location just outside Old Town and near Place D'Youville, where many buses stop. However, the hotel is situated on a hill, so if you're not taking a bus or Uber, be prepared for a bit of an uphill walk to reach the entrance. **Room and View:** We paid extra for a room with an Old Quebec River view, and it was worth every penny. The window was clear, allowing us to take stunning photos of Old Town Quebec with Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac in the background. **WiFi:** The WiFi connection at Hilton Quebec was excellent—smooth and fast, perfect for staying connected or getting work done. **Amenities:** While the rooms do not come with bottled water, during the summer, the hotel provides water dispensers with ice water near the reception, which was convenient for filling our water bottles. Overall, Hilton Quebec offers a comfortable stay with fantastic views and excellent connectivity, though the uphill walk may be a consideration for some guests.

GGoPlaces51106913395The arrival at the hotel started badly with a young receptionist full of germs she kept spreading in her tissue and around (as if we did not just get out of a pandemic that showed us how far any virus can travel) and she started laughing at me in French (assuming that I do not speak over 10 languages including French) saying that I want a room taken by another customer: how rude of her to assume that. The older manager thankfully intervened and the room we checked in via the app was given to us, explaining to the manager, however sick from the road I was, that we did not want something extraordinary: - the room had the lines of the newly built hotels we stayed in the USA and just like in the USA, this room proved to have poor insulation between rooms, slamming doors and the trepidation noises on the hallways to make stuff vibrate in the room. Thankfully everything stopped soon after 10pm and we had a good night sleep only disturbed by the construction next door the following morning, however quiet those people were trying to operate their machinery - parking at the back of the hotel is safe and thankfully Google satellite helped us immensely with travelling to and from Quebec City trying to avoid the major road works happening just about everywhere - the hotel is located near a major shopping area and a Walmart great with icecreams and drinks we always like having - breakfast at the hotel included warm items and it was varied although people kept taking multiple tables to sit and talk: I guess the lower floors were rather busy since we hardly heard any talk up our floor - the manager was kind in thinking of sending a warm up gift, although I wish the young female receptionist would receive further training and stopped assuming things she wanted to assume about customers who effectively pay her salary

GGuest UserIt is a very old building, and it feels good to live here. But the room heating is insufficient, especially when it is minus ten degrees outside. I didn't notice at the beginning, the heating was turned on for a long time, and the temperature was slow. There is only one small heater against the wall in a room, and another relatively large fan. The wind in the fan is cold. I have reflected it with the hotel, but it has not been solved very well. It was not until the second day that I got up in the morning and the temperature slowly rose. Other services are still very good.

Wonderful stay - the property is as charming as it is convenient. We had the studio with kitchen on the ground floor. The back door opened right to our private parking space so it was really easy to get around. Everything was spotless and well appointed. We checked out the terrace but of course it was cold and covered in snow. It’s sure to be wonderful during warmer months. The guest portal is very helpful. This was our first visit to Quebec City and our son’s first visit out of the US - this made a terrific first impression! There are restaurants and shops up and down the street. We would definitely book again in the future. Thanks especially to Jade, who was consistently patient with my questions!

KKarenDespite the hotel being under renovation, there was no noise from construction. You couldn't see construction scaffolding inside the hallways, they Built temporary walls that fully hid the corridors with construction. Excellent management of customer experience despite renovations! Excellent location! 2 mins walk to the closest attraction, the national assembly building

RRUIThe hotel is in the old town, very close to the attractions and within walking distance. Just in time for the Christmas season in Quebec City, the streets and alleys are all dressed up with various Christmas decorations, and the lights are very beautiful at night. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean, with two large beds very comfortable. Because there is no elevator in the old house, the residents can only climb the stairs, but fortunately, they can exercise on the third floor. There is a Thai restaurant on the first floor of the hotel, and the business is good. I originally booked a room without breakfast. I upgraded it to include breakfast at the front desk. Thank you very much. The parking fee for two nights was also confiscated before checking out. This trip was really worthwhile.

GGuest UserClean but aged lodging, as expected in the old town center. Great vibes in the surroundings. It doesn't have a sign, just trust Google maps when it says you've reached your destination. There's no elevator, and only 1 or 2 rooms on the ground level - not suitable for the elderly if you can't get the ground level rooms. It's right in the center of the old town, and right next to a nice park which also houses military?! 🤔 Recommend visiting the Wedding Veil Falls about 20 min drive away. You can get much more up close and personal than the Niagara falls. Enjoy a fanciful and delicious meal in the cafe at the top of the falls 🥰

The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic. It is within walking distance of all the major attractions in Quebec City. The building is an older building with so much character and, I feel, so much wasted potential. While our beds were clean and comfortable the rest of the room was quite dirty and run down. If you walked barefoot on the floor your feet became immediately dirty. There was a previous guests fake eyelashes and coffee stains on the window sill. I’ve been a housekeeper in a historic building so I do understand the work and maintenance required to keep them clean and fresh, and was disappointed that this building isn’t being kept at its best.
