Given the room price, I would definitely recommend this hotel to those planning go stay in Quebec City. Just a few minutes walk to the old city, in a close proximity to the Congress, surrounded by different bus routes, it’s a breeze to commute to many tourist spots to/from the hotel. Besides the view overlooking from the room is stunning. It far exceeded my expectation! I would certainly come back next time.

The hotel is quite close to the attractions. There are restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance. Did not go to breakfast, the Queen bed is very comfortable and the space is very large. The environment and layout are very comfortable, the staff understand English and French and are very welcoming. And the hotel rooms are relatively quiet.

I added 100 Canadian dollars at the front desk to upgrade to a larger room with a river view. It felt very worthwhile. This Fairmont is really the best in the Fairmont Castle Hotel in Maple Leaf Country. In addition, it is pet-friendly and you can bring your dog with you. Every employee in the hotel is very enthusiastic about dogs, which is a plus.

This place is really special. They have a gracious, energetic staff who provide attentive but unpretentious hospitality. Room was meticulously clean and the whole place is beautifully decorated. Location is great - it’s at the bottom of the big hill, in a relatively quiet part of the old town, however just a couple of blocks from the Petite Champlain (get up early to avoid crowds there - at 7am I took photos with no one in them and got a nice coffee). This was a splurge for me, but I won’t ever forget staying here.

The location of the hotel is average, a little distance from the old city, and it takes more than ten minutes to walk. The hotel reception is on the third floor. The room is not big, but it is relatively clean and has all the necessary facilities, including a coffee machine and a microwave. The hotel is a bit old. The Hilton next to it is better, and of course the price is different. The price is less than 1000 yuan, which is good value for money. Quebec City is really cold and windy.

The location of the hotel is very good. It is very close to the train station. It is very convenient if there is another journey in the future. The service staff has a good attitude. The daily breakfast is delivered to the door of the room. Although it is simple, it is sufficient. Half way through our stay here. The rooms are lovely and clean, and updated to modern expectations in an old building. Staff have been wonderful. Really good value for money. The only downside so far has been the restaurant (Louise Taverne &Bar a Vin). As we were checking in to the hotel this morning, other customers told us the place is lovely but not to eat here. We decided to go anyway, just wanting a drink while we waited for our laundry to dry… and we may have thought about eating there if all was ok. We were totally ignored, despite trying to attract the attention of the man in charge of the outside area (around a dozen tables, four of which were occupied). We asked someone else if we could sit down. They referred us to him. We waited while he cleaned a couple of tables, walked past us to talk to someone, walked inside and fiddled around in there for a while, walked out again and cleaned a couple more tables, went round us to get to another table where he rearranged the setting. Walked back to near where we were standing and then turned around to chat to some people he had served since we had been there. Don’t know what sort of self-important trip he was on but we left and will not return. But… that led to a delightful experience at 900 Rue Saint-Paul across the road (separate review coming).

The room is a little small, but the view is good. It is a bit inconvenient to change two elevators to go up and down the stairs. The front desk service is very thoughtful and polite, and there is a special car at the door. The location of the hotel is very convenient and quiet at night.

The hotel is very nice. Check in and out were easy. The free breakfast was excellent, but table service is slow. A good take out breakfast is available. The staff is helpful. The hotel is in a safe but not interesting neighborhood. Some restaurants are nearby There is a direct bus from the airport. For a cruise departure, the port is a nice, level 45 minute walk, mostly along the river.

The location was a big decision in choosing this hotel and it did not disappoint! It is literally in the center of everything and steps away from sights, shopping, restaurants but also away from the noise of bus loads of tourists. The security of the hotel was a great bonus as a solo female traveler! Staff was friendly, the rooms/common areas were always spotless and the decor makes this place a unique spot for sure. I simply loved it and will absolutely be back.

Good price/performance ratio. I stayed for two nights, just beside Highway 138 and 404, so although it is a suburb, it is very convenient to get into the city. It takes 20 minutes to get to the old city and not far from Crystal Falls. The facilities are complete and convenient. The front desk was very enthusiastic. We asked Tadosac about the situation and enthusiastically helped us.

This hotel had everything we needed. We didn't mind at all that breakfast was an individual box with a turkey croissant, yogurt, cookie, cheese, and fruit. In fact, we had something else for breakfast (a muffin, or something), and we took the ”breakfasts” with us. Every day we visited a different park and picnicked by a fountain or garden. It was lovely. Parking was plentiful and free (and we didn't have any trouble finding street parking in old town). The hotel was clean. Staff was welcoming. My daughter found the bed hard. Oh, well.
