My 8 month old baby, my wife and i stayed for 1 night on an all-inclusive. I went there to attend a medical conference. On arrival, we were asked to have a seat at the lobby. The conference was at 2pm and I had to wait till 3pm to get my room. It was like an exhausting wait. Several times, I had to ask the receptionist if my room was ready. At that time, we felt so unwelcomed. The room floor was dirty. One can feel the dirt when you walk bare foot. The fan doesn’t work. The hair dryer doesn’t work. There is no minibar in the room. No bathrobes. No slippers. The TV can only be switched on and off and absolutely no channels playing. A cot was provided for the baby but without blanket to cover. Finally, we all had to share the same blanket on the same bed. At dinner time, we went to the main restaurant and requested to be seated inside as it was cold and windy and we didn’t want our baby to fall sick. But we were told that we had to dine with the conference group which was outside, an opened space on 2 sides. Finally, we were obliged to take a table where it was less windy but next to it was a table with the all the dirty plates, glasses and bottles (see photos). The waiters were just continuously passing by next to us. We could hear them complaining about the complaints of other hotel guests who were dining. The open buffet dinner, breakfast and lunch were very below average. Meal time looks like Mauritian wedding reception ‘chawtari’. You have to queue up to get your food. The next day, after breakfast, we went to our room and found a piece of paper folded in 4 , thrown down outside of our room door. We picked it up and it was all about how they felt a little sad that we are leaving and reminding us the check-out time. At 11:15am, someone knocked at the door and my wife opened just to see a man asking us to leave the room. We left the room in less that 10 mins and I requested the receptionist for assistance to carry our luggage as our room was on the 2nd floor and no lift facilities available. Well, I regret asking for that assistance. Arriving at the reception, I handed out the key at the reception and my luggage still didn’t reach the lobby. To make it worst, my baby had a poop and I felt so embarrassed not knowing what to do. I inquire at the reception about my luggage and I should appreciate the lady who made a call and told me that the luggage will soon arrive. It took almost 40 mins for them to bring my luggage and I had to change the baby diaper in my car, in the car park. We came back for lunch as it was included in our all-inclusive and left immediately after.

My wife and I stayed at the Ambre Resort hotel for about two weeks and it started really well with nice weather, good food, friendly personnel, a comfortable hotel room and a beautiful view over the blue ocean. We visited the same place 7 years ago and unfortunately the beach has become much smaller since then, but it still is wonderful. Unfortunately we then had a stroke of really bad luck: both of us got very ill from some bacterial infection, apparantly brought along by other hotel guests who had visited an island outside the hotel. So just when we were ready to explore the island a bit more after a few relaxing days at the beach we got stuck in our hotel room in need of medical care. The good news was that Ambre has a professional medical facility available at the resort, and I want to sincerely thank Dr. Hujjaree and the rest of the medical team for their good care. The doctor and nurses applied medicines that brought us back on our feet and helped us salvage at least some of the remainder of our holiday. Even though the illness made our vacation a lot more stressful than we had anticipated, we still left the resort with an overwhelming positive feeling, not in the least because of the efforts from the medical team. Thank you! Marc & Saskia.

Belle Mare
The hotel is very good, clean and beautiful, cost-effective. Fortunately, it is for breakfast and dinner. If you don’t want to go out, there isn’t even a small convenience store. It’s not a bad location. It’s really not a tourist tour in Mauritius. It is best to bring more snacks yourself, otherwise you can only blink.

We just spent 3 wonderful nights at this resort. From the moment we arrived, relaxation was experienced. The resort was clean and modern. Our room was well equipped and clean with a glorious sea view. The staff were amazing. Special thanks to: Spa: Ashna and Kasana. We enjoyed our couples massage very much. Perfect way to end our trip. 🙏 Housekeeping: Nitesh, thanks for looking after us.🧹🛏 Yovan: Kept us well lubricated 😜 There was an informal drinks reception on our last night and Nilesh was very pleasant and interesting. Do not hesitate to book this hotel. You will not be disappointed!

We stayed here recently for just over two weeks. It's a great hotel in a good location on the east coast. We never had a problem finding a sun lounger on the beach, but it was a bit breezy at times. Staff were fantastic. Food was excellent in the main dining room with plenty of choice. Wok n Roll is big on sushi, but has a rather limited menu otherwise. We could have gone 3 times, but only went once. There was a good selection of wine by the bottle - available at lunch and dinner - on the all inclusive package. There's entertainment in the bar most evenings. Again plenty of choice of inclusive drinks. It winds down about 22.30, and nothing too loud or raucous. We booked 3 trips through Deeya at the hotel - Five Islands boat trip with Danny (great day) - Flacq Central Market (interesting) - and a car for the day to tour the south of the island (definitely worth a visit). Shout out to Rajendra, Deepak, Nitish (Dining Room), Geraldine, Priya (Beach Bar), Shreesh (Main Bar), Vella (Somellier) who all went out of their way to make our holiday special. Just a couple of things to note - only beer and soft drinks in the mini bar (you have to order wine by the glass to be delivered). Take a beach bag, there isn't one in the room unless you're on honeymoon.

Trou d'Eau Douce
We recently stayed at Friday Attitude and it was one of the best stay we had so far. We were warmly welcomed with beautiful smiles of the reception team. On top they were all very friendly and made us feel at home as well as valued. They were genuinely attentive to all our needs. The receptionist, made a small hotel visit which was very helpful and explained everything in details. After that visit we got a beautiful room on the first floor near the pool. The room was spacious and interior decor was amazing. Very othentik and same as we needed. All basic things were present in the room itself. Our roomaid was a very nice lady who wrote us small messages everyday which made our stay even more beautiful. We booked the All Inclusive package so got to try most of the cocktails made by the barman. There were large varieties at the buffet. Food was tasty. Desert was outstanding. The restaurant staff were very attentive and took care of everything that we asked for. The did everything beyond our expectations. My friend even booked a massage at the spa counter and after that she felt so relaxed. A much needed massage. The ladies at the spa were super welcoming. I personally really appreciated the high quality service we received from all of you. There are too many names to mention so i would not write any name. I thank you all and hope that you keep this great work up. This is real customer sevice that we all need.
