The Residence Mauritius

We had an amazing week celebrating my partners birthday. Thank you to Jocelyn and the amazing team of staff that went far and beyond to make us feel at home from the very first moment till the end. Thank you to Divyra for her skillful and relaxing massage at the hotel spa with the perfect ambience. The beach was so clear and warm turquoise waters. Can’t wait to come back

We had a fantastic time at the Residence . The location is like paradise . Set next to a clean white sand beach with turquoise waters and plenty of space to relax. The hotel itself has all you need for a 5 star stay with great large pools and 2 good restaurants which have tasty innovative menus. All the staff were very welcoming and kind and were always making our staying enjoyable. Also the little things which helped enormously like checking in at 9am in the morning and letting us keep our flight to our late night flight back home. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, breathtaking beach. Food was good but a little less spicy for my taste. Tours and excursions are plentiful with great assistance from concierge. . The lunch menu and to done extent the drinks are a bit limited and pricy, in my opinion. Overall, it's impressive.

Confusing hotel experience among the many during the years. In principle everything was in order, good premises, room and exellent beach area. Friendly big enough staff an huge spa area and good gym. But the food was not worth of money. No possible to recommendate even the half board at all. Hotel was very quiet even they have a deasant show every night. It was a pity. Good choise for seniors relaxation and maybe for tha families with the kids.

We have been to The Residence nine times. Bright and pleasant hotel. Large rooms and pleasant service. Always smiling and friendly. It will be like coming home. Our second home. Helpful if unforeseen situations arise. Pleasant overtasks also appear.

It could be a great resort. The location at a wide sandy beach with enough space an comfortable sunbeds. Lots of palm trees throwing shade and friendly and helpful staff. The rooms older but well kept with rigid and uncomfortable seating. Altogether the place lacks of a bit of a cosy lounge touch. But what is really annoying is the dinner buffet. Apart from the fact that the food is very mediocre to uninspired, the themes are repeated weekly. During dinner there is entertainment by ridiculos ‚local‘ dances accompanied by eardrum shattering music. So much for dinner converation. After that the piano player in the bar accompanied by changing singers plays the same tunes every night. He should at least be rewarded with a better sound system of less bass and told that there ARE guests who are happy to have a conversation. There is also a beach restaurant serving passable lunch and dinner (at additional cost) that never changes the menu. A small local restaurant nearby is a better choice. As I said it could be a great hotel.
