We had a lovely one night stay Very helpful and friendly hosts who live in the adjoining building Location is perfect. In between West Street and Quanzhou Ancient City. About 20 to 30 mins walk to each direction.
The ginger duck dinner (10 mins walk) and taro fritter right at the back street of this mishu (both recommended by the host) were one of the best food throughout our Fujian trip. We appreciated the host allowing us to freeze our food and helped us arrange a driver to send us to Xiamen the next day. It's door to door at RMB70 per pax (if sharing the cab with others). Cheaper than didi + train + didi and less time consuming.
The room size is slightly on the smaller side but we don't mind as we were out all day. All the basic amenities needed are provided. Most important is its clean and comfortable.
As I booked using non-Chinese no and can't read Chinese, I did not receive notifications from host right after my Trip.com booking . We depended on Baidu map to guess the location after the taxi dropped us at the main road. Be prepared to walk 2 mins into small/back lane and to enter an unlock gate to enter the compound of 2/3 residential building cluster. A bit confusing for us but we managed to locate the minshu after 5 mins.
We wish we had more time for Quanzhou. Definitely worth at 2 nights. So much more to explore here.

The boss was very enthusiastic and came to pick me up personally. Breakfast dumplings and rice noodle soup are also provided. I was lucky enough to be invited for dinner. Enthusiastic Quanzhou people give a thumbs up. The house price is reasonable and it is close to West Street and Zhongshan Street. There are a lot of delicious food. The twin bed room was very comfortable.
