We really enjoyed our stay at Bo’ao State Guesthouse. Friendly employees, clean and beautifully designed and welcoming! We felt we were in a lavish hotel. Our room was spacious and provided things like a dehumidifier (which is important as we advance toward summer here on Hainan). My husband really liked the large bathtub. The breakfast was so good! Large assortment of food to enjoy eat!

The hotel is nice but a little jaded. The upgraded room has musty smell, probably because of the low season and air conditioners are shut down when there's no occupancy.

The room smelled really bad. I couldn't tell if it was stinky or musty. I couldn't stay there for even a minute. The air conditioner was really loud. There were not many people staying in the hotel. It was desolate and run-down.
