Qinhuangdao Shanhaiguan District Hotels

It was such an unique experience to stay in a hotel inside the ancient city wall, it felt like travelled back to China in the olden days. As it was off-peak season when we visited 山海关，we were upgraded to a family room, which mean there is a separate bedroom with a single bed, on top of a master room with a double bed. As it was rather cold and we were tired from all the walking, we decided to make life easy by eating at the restaurant within the hotel. We didn't expect much though. But..., we were much much more than surprise the dishes were Ace standard, be it in presentation or taste! A big big thumb up! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. All in all, we really enjoyed the service extended to us! It is no doubt hotel staff in China places their guests at top priority, making them feel at home at all times. P.S the teapot was not filled with tea but a yummilicious 松茸汤。

I have had a wonderful stay at this hotel. I had a large, well-furnished, elegant room. I tried to upload a photo but was not successful despite it having less than 1 MB. The hotel staff was helpful with the bus route to the Old Dragon Head, a must-see if you are in Shanhaiguan. Additionally, they were friendly, offering me fresh fruits. I will return to this hotel if my future travel does take me to Shanhaiguan.

It happened to be the Dragon Boat Festival when I stayed at Shanhaiguan Wanghai Resort. The reception was warm and gave me a bracelet to ward off evil spirits. The breakfast was delicious and I ate rice dumplings. The room was tidy and clean. The cleaning lady responded to my requests and gave me a few more bottles of mineral water. I felt like a guest in the resort. It is very close to the Laolongtou Scenic Area and it is very convenient to walk there. In particular, there are four small buildings of the Eight-Power Allied Forces Barracks, which are national key cultural relics protection units, and there are sweet and bitter wells with different underground water quality within ten meters. For me, who loves to visit ancient sites, it is an unexpected surprise.

Facilities: basic standard. This price is already cost-effective. I paid 590 for three nights. Check-in on September 8, 2024. Hygiene: We are also satisfied Environment: It is very close to the ancient town. It is convenient to go to the surrounding area for dinner and breakfast. There are fried rice, noodles, spicy hot pot, night market, KFC, and bakery. Take a taxi (choose a ride) to Jiaoshan Great Wall, which is about 11 yuan for about 5 kilometers. It is difficult to take a taxi without adding a fare on the return trip, so we walked back. Going to Lao Ma Tou is in the opposite direction of Jiaoshan Great Wall, so this hotel is probably between these two attractions. Service: very good.

Fortunately, I stayed in this newly opened courtyard-style hotel for 3 consecutive nights at a very cost-effective price before the peak season. I looked around the hotel with plenty of time and had a lot of experience. I hope to share it to help everyone. Facilities: Very good, there are two courtyards in total, most of which are twin rooms, the rooms at the four corners have windows, and the middle ones have no windows. The rooms are fully equipped as described by the store. Since the room is in Chinese style, wooden racks are used to hang clothes (there are no hangers in the room), and the new air conditioner is quiet and noiseless. The current shortcoming is that it is too new, and the furniture smell still exists in the room. After observing for a few days, the cleaning aunt will open the room door every day for ventilation. I believe it will be handled soon. Environment: Very quiet, sleep well every night, and you can wake up in the morning to the sound of birds. Each room has large glass + tea table. The designer's original intention is to hope that guests can better enjoy the environment in the courtyard in the room. Service: I feel that all members of the hotel are very attentive to running this store. From reception, cleaning, and security, the service awareness is very high, which is very good. In summary, it can be seen that this hotel was positioned as a high-level hotel in the ancient city when it was built, and those with high requirements can be given priority. The hotel is the closest to the ancient city (South Gate 1), and those who drive can park in the parking lot in the courtyard, which is very convenient.

Wow, this hotel is a hidden treasure! This was our first hotel on our China trip, and what an amazing experience. The hotel is located inside the walled area under The First Pass Under Heaven. Our room was beautiful with a window of the courtyard. You can practice your calligraphy in your room, which is fun. All the staff are fantastic. They are very kind and helpful, and although we couldn't speak Chinese, the staff had a fantastic app that made things easy. Do visit the on-site museum where you can try the arts. The breakfast was Chinese style and delicious. This hotel was perfect! Thank you for having us.

Look at the picture blindly booked homestay, I never wanted to have this kind of characteristic design accommodation in the ancient city, the parent-child room, the sanitation is not worse than the big hotel, the price is very high, check in from the Elder Head Beach, there are many snacks around, the homestay also has Western food and special cakes, freshly ground coffee, Those who like to drink special bartenders order before 10 pm. This time I didn’t catch up with ～ when I left, the boss also sent afternoon tea. The special Shu Fulei. Overall, I want to come to Shanhaiguan to play. I recommend this homestay.

Traveling with elders and children, I must live well inside. After many comparisons, I chose No. 58 B&B. The rooms are spacious, clean, new facilities and very comfortable to live in. The small courtyard of the homestay is the biggest surprise of this trip. The whole yard is taken care of like a warm home by the owner. The yard has all the fruit trees such as pears, grapes, plums, dates, peaches, persimmons, etc. The fruit grows very well, and there are big gourds. It is happy to look at it. There are rabbits in the yard. Dutch pigs, ducks, roosters, full of fireworks, the whole yard gives people a feeling of wealth, harvest, and blessing. It is especially suitable for taking elders and children to rest, and it is also suitable for children to carry out plant and animal science. Our children like it very much. Let's talk about the boss family, the service is good, the boss is very enthusiastic, not far from the place, the boss sister also drives to pick up and drop off, really intimate. The homestay also has its own restaurant, but the boss does not deliberately promote his own restaurant. You need to eat and tell the boss in advance, just book. Qinhuangdao comes almost every year, this is the most comfortable time to live. I wish the 58th B&B better and better.

We decided to take a two-day trip to Shanhaiguan on a whim over the weekend. There were two big surprises. One was that we happened to catch up with the large-scale folk celebration on the second day of the second ***** month, when the dragon raised its head. The other surprise came from Lelexin Courtyard. We arrived at the store at around 7pm. The boss was very nice and the front desk lady was very enthusiastic. We booked two rooms and the boss directly upgraded them by two levels, a parent-child room and a king-size bed room. The decoration showed the boss's attentiveness everywhere. It was all solid wood, and the room was fully equipped, brand new and clean. The bathroom was separated into wet and dry areas, which was very considerate. There was no peculiar smell or noise. The courtyard was also very beautiful at night, quiet and warm. There was an artificial bright moon in the courtyard, which was a surprise. The weather was a bit cold this time, so we didn't enjoy the scenery outdoors too much. We will definitely go again next time when the weather is good. Thank you~~
