My friend and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express during our trip to Qingdao. Initially, we had high expectations of the hotel especially since my friend had experienced what Holiday Inn was like in a previous city which was a very good experience. However, our expectations were no met😕 at this hotel. Overall, it was not a bad stay because the hotel was at a good location (there's a mall literally behind the hotel, lots of restaurants and 5 min walk from the subway station) and the staff at the front dest were nice. However, the food, on trip.com, it notes there's western breakfast but there was not! The breakfast was a basic Chinese breakfast so we were not satisfied with the breakfast at all. Additionally, the hotel needs to be diligent about cleaning the bathrooms. You need to actually scrub the bathroom and not just wipe it down! The shower and around the face basin had mold which was very disgusting and disturbing 🤢. Please do better! Otherwise, we had a good stay. The bed and pillows were so soft, we felt like we were sleeping on clouds 😍😁. We also loved that the lobby had free popcorn for the guests to take 😄.

The hotel is close to the beach and beer fest area. Sadly the hotel was not very clean and my room had still some garbage from the previous tenants on the floor and this was still there after 3 times room service. The air conditioner did not work and even with 18 degrees outside the room was very hot and could only be cooled with opening the door. The gym was decent and clean. The breakfast was only basics and nothing fancy. Sadly the service was not paying much attention and it was sometime hard to get a coffee to the table without self ordering at the counter. Cereal choices where limited as were the fruit options. Overall it is a good hotel that’s lacking a little on the service side.

This is a nice hotel conveniently located not far from from Qingdao West (Qingdaoxi) Railway Station (some 20 minutes and 25rmb). Very nice breakfast buffet and helpful staff, especially Tott Joe who is always ready to help you with any question (he even helped me arrange some food delivery using his personal apps). Will be back again.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, it was a decent experience for the price. The room was fairly clean, and the service was good, although non-Chinese speakers might encounter some challenges. The location is a bit tricky to find without a lobby; the reception is on the 6th floor. 😂 Despite these quirks, I'd say it's a reasonable choice considering the cost.

I was thoughtfully given a nut gift box and a souvenir, and it was a great experience. Facilities: Because I have children, I upgraded to a suite with a small garden, which has direct access to the amusement facilities and restaurants. The experience is great. I decided to go out for fun at the last minute. I looked at many hotels and fell in love with this family suite. The three of us stayed there very comfortably. The service was very enthusiastic and considerate. I even gave the children small gifts before leaving, which made me very happy. I read other reviews that the breakfast was not good. We booked breakfast for both days. The price was very cost-effective and it was enough to fill you up. Fried noodles, burritos and millet porridge were well received. It was very comfortable to eat in the morning. The transportation is very convenient. You can get to the beach in ten minutes by taxi. There are also many restaurants nearby.

If you want a quieter getaway with a fantastic beach and loads of great restaurant options nearby, this is your spot. It is quite a long drive to the train station or into Qingdao, so you are a little stuck, however, we wanted the quieter beach feel, and we got it. The hotel facilities were taken up for daily weddings, so we could not use the open lobby area and the executive lounge was closed. The restaurant was packed each morning and it was hard to get a spot, but the breakfast was good. The pool was busy, but nice with great big lounge chairs. The room was huge and mostly clean, but had not been vacuumed. They could improve their room cleaning routines. Make sure you try to get a room higher up. We were on the 7th floor and our view was through dirty windows right over the large roof. It was not our hoped for sea view suite. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again if we were in the same area. The beach and the public space with great food choices next door made up for the hotel shortcomings.

Facilities: Very convenient. The parent-child room we booked has a beautiful balcony and sea view. Hygiene: The hygiene is very clean. It is recommended for everyone to bring their children to play. Service: The service staff are very nice and enthusiastic, giving people a warm feeling. Environment: Super close to the beach. Just walk to the beach. Driving around the island is also beautiful and eating is very convenient. The children like the layout of the parent-child room very much, and also like the balcony to see the sea view. I highly recommend this place, because it is a family trip, I chose a relatively larger family room with a small tent, the children are very excited, and the tatami is very comfortable! I also like the separate design for adults and children. There is a large bathtub where you can soak and relax, and there is also a shower. The water volume and temperature are very good! When checking in, the lady at the front desk suggested to upgrade Huazhu Club while buying breakfast. It is very cost-effective and considerate tips and services, thank you very much! Provided additional toiletries for the children, because the children are more noisy, and the number of cleanings is also quite a lot. I am very grateful to the staff for taking the trouble! There is also a special cloakroom that really impresses me, hahaha! If there are plans to come to Huangdao, I will definitely continue to choose this hotel!

Originally set for a three-bedroom, the result was that I and the sisters went to change a two-bedroom and one-living room. There was no elevator, but sitting on the sofa in the living room, you can see the sea. It is just a road from the beach. Before going, the sisters had a leg. The next day, I told the landlord to change it directly. With an elevator The house has been making amends and apologized. I don’t know if the sisters have broken their legs (in fact, we didn’t ask if we didn’t bring the elevator or say that the legs were broken). Usually, the landlord sent them to the subway and picked us up at night. Tell us which attraction is good. How to go? It’s really good and it’s Ben. Local people's own house 👍👍👍
