This hotel was our third stay in Qingdao, and it was also the cheapest, but the quality was truly top-notch. First, they called us in advance on the afternoon of our check-in day to confirm our availability. Upon arrival, we saw the grand, elevated lobby and felt confident this hotel would be good. Our previous two hotels were similar to Home Inns, but priced around 700 yuan, so this one was in line with high-end hotels. The staff were very welcoming, and the breakfast was generous with a wide variety. The rooms weren't exactly large, but they were decent, too. They were clean, soundproofed, and had heavy doors. Most importantly, the beds were 1.35 meters long, perfect for a family of two or three.
When we checked in, knowing we had two children, they provided breakfast for them. This is a bit strange: the more luxurious and upscale a hotel, the more impressive it is, while the more modest it is, the more fussy it is (and the room rates are still quite high).
The only downside might be that the hotel is a bit far from Qingdao's scenic spots. Alas, you can't have your cake and eat it too.

The hotel is very clean, bright, and spacious, giving me a very safe feeling! The facilities, including laundry facilities, a gym, and breakfast, are very complete. This was my favorite of the three hotels I stayed in, and it was also the most comfortable I slept in. My only slight regret was that I needed some hangers, but they weren't provided. My second stay was upgraded from the 5th to the 9th floor. The room layout was much more logical and the space was a bit larger. Overall, it was quite good. Clean (my biggest concern), and the service was attentive. It's very close to the City Balcony scenic area, and there are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby.
