I arrived late & staff helped take my case to my room. The chef made me a plate of food which was well needed after the long travel. The room was really clean & comfortable with plenty of storage for clothes etc. I paid £19 for an upgrade for a sea view which was beautiful. Room cleaned daily if required & 2 water bottles left every day. Food was quite limited but was varied each day & cooked fresh. Pool was cold but you would expect that this time of year although there was a smaller pool which was heated. Beach was really nice & clean - only thing I think some of the sunbeds need to be upgraded. Clean beach towels every day. Staff was always very polite & helpful. This hotel is listed as 4 star but in my opinion i would class it as 3 star having said that I would stay here again.

I regret to say that our recent experience with Love Holidays and Lotus Bay Resort was far from what I had anticipated. Unfortunately, this holiday turned out to be a significant disappointment, primarily due to the misrepresentation of the hotel and the lack of adequate support from both the resort and Love Holidays. We arrived at Lotus Bay Resort, Soma Bay, late in the evening on December 18th, 2024, around 11:00 PM. Upon check-in, we were assigned a room that was in an unacceptable condition. The room had clearly not been prepared for new guests—it was unclean, with dirty sheets, no towels, and a filthy bathroom. Given the late hour and the absence of available alternative rooms, we had no choice but to accept this room. The hotel manager informed us that no other rooms would be available until the following day, and, to make matters worse, there was no free Wi-Fi (this came at an additional cost). The next morning, we met with our MTS representative at 9:15 AM to address the situation. I requested a change of accommodation due to the poor room conditions and the subpar food offerings. Regrettably, it took almost 48 hours for the MTS representative to arrange an alternative room at a sister hotel, and we were forced to remain in the initial, unsatisfactory room for an additional night. To our further frustration, the alternative accommodation provided came with additional charges. We were required to pay extra for the room change, as the MTS representative could not offer a like-for-like replacement without added costs. Additionally, we had to cover the cost of a taxi to the new hotel, which was an unexpected expense that negatively impacted our holiday budget. Compounding the issue, both the hotel manager and the MTS representative were unhelpful and, at times, dismissive. The hotel manager was rude and refused to offer any form of compensation or refund for the substandard room, walking away without further assistance. The MTS representative seemed more focused on promoting overpriced excursions than addressing our accommodation issues. When I declined to book any excursions, he responded rudely, shouting, "I should have charged you another 1000 euros," which I found completely unprofessional and unacceptable. We ultimately chose to book local excursions at a fraction of the cost, as the MTS excursions were priced well above market value. Despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue through the Love Holidays Chat Bot portal, our concerns were largely ignored. Although the hotel eventually offered a different room after 48 hours, it was still far below acceptable standards, and the food was ill-suited for British guests. At that point, I felt that our holiday was at risk of being ruined entirely. I am particularly concerned that Lotus Bay Resort is misrepresented on the Love Holidays website as a 4-star property. According to the MTS representative, the hotel is closer to a 3-star rating, and based on our experience, I firmly believe

Great hotel for great value. Restaurant serve very good food, for adults and for children. Everything was fresh and tasty. Staff very helpful, very polite. Room cleaned eberyday, nice and tidy place. Great pool with loads of space around. Beautiful view, nice beach, great for snorkling. We went as family of 5 with friends and we all enjoyed 8 days. 5✨ for Restaurant stuff as they did a lot for my daughter to encourage her for eating. Our Best Holiday stary do far.

Great hotel ...beautiful beach ..quite quiet ...excellent staff especially Abo in the restaurant always ensuring I have my little table in a quiet corner and a water and wine waiting for me alwaysfinding time to ask how i am how is my day.Samir the bartender at the quiet bar at the far end of the beach near the spa...makes excellent cocktails and is great friendly person..he has promised to make my birthday a good day with the people I've met around the pool from Austria..Germany..Poland ...followup review to come when I get back to UK ..only 2 gripes ..food repetitive but tasty and you have to queue like at school ..and water isn't put into your room daily you have to collect at certain times and if you forget...well very dry mouth by morning!

Me, my husband and my two daughters had a wonderful vacation in Egypt filled with days at the beach and days spent on several different excursions. Let's stick to the resort - a wonderful place with a beautiful garden where you can really relax, a nice pool with sunbeds and umbrellas around it and a nice private beach (here I will add that I think the beach is not maintained and arranged enough). The rooms are spacious and equipped with what is needed (the doors and windows could be gradually replaced), the furniture is a bit old fashioned but satisfactory. I think the food is for everyone's taste, indeed most of the dishes are repeated every day, but if today you eat rice, tomorrow you can have potatoes, then something else, etc. Throughout the day you can drink carbonated and non-carbonated juices, water, coffee (in the restaurant or in one of the bars), at lunch and dinner you can also drink beer, wine and some alcohol. You can have a light snack between two meals. Every day there are different activities by the pool (water aerobics, volleyball, different dances) and in the evening a mini disco for children and a show for adults (dance, raffle, fireworks, etc.) with the help of the animation team. What I am most pleasantly surprised by is the staff who are constantly smiling and kind, they greet you, smile at you, etc. The only downside is that the resort is in Safaga, which is about 45 minutes from Hurghada, so each excursion costs more time and money. I recommend this resort for a family vacation :)

I evaluate the Lotus Bay hotel positively mainly because of the beautiful views, the beach with palm trees, the sea with a coral reef, the swimming pool, and the peace and quiet. The hotel occupies a large space, so there is plenty of space to walk along beautiful paths in the garden, by the pool, and along the beach. Rich, attractive vegetation, palm trees on the beach next to the sun loungers. Four bars located at different points make it easy to quench your thirst quickly. The swimming pool and warm, clean water or in the sea in the pool make it possible to spend the whole day lazing around. The rooms were clean by Egyptian standards, white and fresh bedding, daily cleaning. After arriving from the airport in the morning, we were told to pay an additional $10 for the room, otherwise we had to wait until 2 p.m., even though we had been traveling all night, we were tired, no one looked at it. The other two families on our flight didn't have to pay, so I consider it extortion. Hotel staff are usually nicer if they get a dollar, of course, although this does not apply to all Egyptians. Poor animations, even though there were a lot of Poles, the animators use Russian. We are a significant nation in Egypt and they should appreciate it.

As our very first time to Egypt, we were nervous, and noticed our hotel had bad reviews, but so do a lot of hotels so we stuck with it, and we were not disappointed!! This hotel is further away from main hurgahda but we loved the area, and travel is cheap and easy so doesn’t matter. Hotel is on its own pretty beach with beatiful coral and fish, lovely beach bar, the sea almost comes up to your feet in the evening as the sun goes down ! Found it quite magical. Pool and pool bar are nice with short bits of games through the day, quite quiet in between. The restaurant was clean and food was ok. As it’s all inclusive can be repetitive, but that’s the norm I think and is something for everyone. Staff do tend to your table (for tips) or can easily say no thanks. Rooms are quite traditional and this is not one of the larger more modern hotels, but I think this added to the charm. Definitely a little secret gem. Loved it so much going back soon !!! The Beaty and atmosphere of the beech area and beech bar by far our way it being big and modern. Food is very cheep outside hotel also so lots of options. Food at beech bar you pay for and is very nice
