Sometimes a return visit to a place one has loved doesn't live up to expectations but this is NOT the case with Omeesha Beach Hotel. Keerthi and Mali have continued with their fabulous hospitality, keeping the number of cabanas down to a number that enables their personal attention to details that make each visitor feel as if they are staying with long time friends. The cabanas have been well maintained which takes extra effort in a remote beach environment, bed linen, towels, toiletries were very good quality. The menu was varied and the food continued to be outstanding in quality and presentation. Seafood fresh off the boats was a highlight of the menu. Visiting with friends, we mostly stayed in the hotel grounds relaxing with a day trip to Kalpitiya where we visited the little Fort and church. The beach is safe for swimming [sunbeds available for those who are not sun safe minded] and a pool is available at Omeesha's second hotel a short walk away. Early morning dolphin and whale watching excursions are available. If you are looking for a welcoming, quiet, comfortable place where you can walk along a clean beach, watch the crabs scuttling ashore while sipping a cocktail watching the sun go down then enjoy a beautiful meal Omeesha would be the place to choose. We're all planning on returning for another stay.
