My wife and I recently stayed in a suite at Anantaya Resort & Spa, Chilaw, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The view from our suite was breathtaking — overlooking the calm lagoon and lush surroundings The staff were friendly and attentive, always greeting us with genuine smiles and making sure every need was met. The food / buffet was excellent Overall it’s a great stay to experience for somebody who is searching for a resort type stay

Worst Experience Ever at Anantaya Resorts, Chilaw – Extremely DisappointingWorst Experience Ever at Anantaya Resorts, Chilaw – Extremely Disappointing Traveled all the way from Colombo expecting a peaceful and luxurious getaway, but sadly, Anantaya Resorts in Chilaw turned out to be a complete letdown. First off, the food was absolutely bland and tasteless — definitely not worth the price you're paying. For a resort of this category, the culinary standards were shockingly poor. What made things worse was the lack of basic cleanliness. The condition of the room and common areas was absurd — far from what you'd expect from a so-called "luxury" resort. Hygiene seemed to be a low priority across the board. Overall, this stay ruined the whole getaway experience. With high expectations and a long drive, I was left frustrated and disappointed. Definitely not recommended — there are far better options in Sri Lanka for the same (or even less) price. Staff very friendly and look after you well. Public facilities very nice clean and comfortable Luxury room opening to pool and beach view. Beach not really suitable for swimming and lots of rubbish at edge of water. Some items eg blinds in need of replacement and my room lock was missing from external door.. could not lock it when I went pool side A bit isolated if you want ‘city’ life with shops in walking distance.

We went to Anantaya Resort from our office, and we had such an amazing time! The view was absolutely beautiful, the rooms were super comfortable, and everything was just perfect. A special shout-out to Viraj, the Anantaya Hotel Animator, who made our day even more fun with the games and activities he organized. Thanks to him, we enjoyed way more than we expected and had an unforgettable experience! 💫

A perfect getaway for those seeking peace and quiet. The hotel is far from the city, and in October weekdays it was almost empty. Special thanks to our guide Viraj for his great company and entertainment! The beach is excellent and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommended for a secluded retreat. You can take a one-day transfer to touristic places from the hotel.

Really had some good times with my friends at Anathaya resort. Well maintained environment and friendly people. Rooms were really clean. A beautiful place to relax with you family, team members or solo as well Special thanks to the animator who conducted really good games. Animator was really friendly and a calm person who explained the rules of the games in simple terms…Really good person hope he will do better in his stay Highly recommend to the animator.
