Took the family in our motorhome and left early. Terrible site. Very dirty toilets and showers. Site not kept tidy with little landscaping. Shop closed most of the time. Shame as so much potential close to a lovely town like Swanage. Would not recommend.

This is by far the worst site I’ve ever seen, showers toilets dirty, everywhere else a shambles, grass uncut, weeds everywhere, how anyone could write a good review about this site is beyond me. I had to give one star out of politeness. It’s a shame because with not too much effort it could be much better.

We are on our way home from a tour of Cornwall in our Motorhome We booked 3 nights at Herston yard Swanage to break up our return journey to Kent. In our arrival I went to the reception which smelt of smoke and musty carpet and was met by a man who appeared unkempt and couldn’t even be bothered to look up when I came in , a lady then came from the back and asked my name then said your on pitch 11 turn right n your along there. No welcome pack given just a map how to walk into Swanage. We paid £120 for 3 nights on a super fully serviced pitch that was nestled among a lot of scruffy statics that I later found out people were living in them because they had been made homeless and the local council were providing temporary housing I have no problem with this but I didn’t want to spend my holiday amongst this The toilets n showers were dirty n shabby The bar n shop were in need of an update and during our 2 night stay (we left early ) There was constant cars tippers and vans coming and going and noise on the Friday night with people talking n laughing until 3.30pm Worst site we have stayed on

Stayed over the August bank holiday weekend. Good location near to swanage. 30 minute walk to swanage town centre and the beach. The bar and clubhouse is very run down but the staff are pleasant. Very dated and the children's play area is full of weeds. The touring pitches are good but you have to pass which looks like a travelers site. Lots of run down caravans and untidy pitches. The site are offering horse and cart rides during your stay!! The toilet and shower facilities are varied. The trailer facilities at spear point are average but the other facilities are filthy and need updating. The food van near the touring pitches is good and offers evening meals and breakfast. There is a food van near the main clubhouse but the service is very slow and unorganised. We will not be returning to this site.

4 of us stayed in a yurt for 3 nights. The weather was good to us but unfortunately half our yurt floor was soaking the entire stay (yurt G) the shower and toilet trailers are very nice but could do with being cleaned abit more frequently. The park is in a lovely quiet location and the firepit with the free wood is a nice touch. On our last day we spent our day on site and visited the onsite bar. I found this very expensive £42 for 5 double drinks. We left feeling quite ripped off! Nice site but a few little tweaks could make it so much better

Lovely site, kept very clean. A bit squeaky bum towing through the lanes to get to it! The pitch was almost 100% flat and level. It had a very slight camber. Good electric hookup facility, and water on the pitch was a luxury! The only downside we found was the distance to toilet and shower facilities. I have limited mobility, and found it difficult getting to and from the facilities, given that the site itself slopes. I realised that most units onsite had their own toilets etc, so understand why there are not more blocks. The on site shop sells the essentials. The butty wagon on site was a godsend on the first day and last morning. All in all, a nice site, with beautiful views of the Purbeck Hills, but I would think very carefully before I would book again
