We came on July 27 2024 for a two week holiday with my wife, 5 kids aged 17, 16, 7&7 and 18 months and my elderly parents (mother has difficulty in walking, uses mobility scooter). We booked an all inclusive meal plan. We had three rooms booked in total and were allocated next one to another being 3005, 3006 and 3007 at the ground floor, further away from the receptions of our 1st building. We were welcomed to this 4* resort late in the evening by having to drag all of the 7 pieces of luggage from the bus ourselves, having travelled since early morning. I asked in the reception for someone to help out but was told that they do not provide such services (!). Additionally my mothers room, which was booked 6 months prior to arrival, was not assigned for people with disabilities. Luckily two hours later it was provided, although I had to intervene with the supervisor, as earlier I was told it could not be done until next day. My parents got room 2005 with appropriate fully accessible bathroom for them. Additionally at checkin every room gets their own timing for meals allocated by the hotel (breakfast for for all between 8-11, lunch 1-30pm or 2-2:45, 8-9 or 10-11 for dinner). These can be changed in reception, but only in advance. You need to carry around a card in which room number and meal time is mentioned. The Barcelo Punta Umbria 4* is a huge hotel for approximately 3000 guests in total and is divided only by a street to reach a nice beach, with no hotel facilities offered there though. The resort consists of three large buildings connected by bridges on the 1st floor. This is really handy, especially when coming back from the shows which start really late daily- 10:40pm. Mini disco is a t 9:45. It is super loud, but can be attractive for some. The rooms are spacious, cery clean, well kept. We only had minor problems with ants in the kids room, which was reported and sprayed that same evening to get rid of it. But they were running all over sheets of the extra bed. If I wanted to put a cartoon on for my younger kids from my phone/ tablet to a large Samsung tv screen by screen mirroring, unfortunately this feature is purposefully blocked by the hotel, as it later on turned out when trying to tackle down the problem with the hotel technicians. You can however plug in anything via HDMI cable, if your device allows it. When we got up the next morning, had our breakfast and headed for the pool we found out we need to pay a 10€ deposit first in order to receive towels at the reception. Not only that but it could only be exchanged every 5 days for free, otherwise it would be 3€ each. This had not been seen elsewhere by my family, despite we travel internationally a lot. The pool was loud and full, we could not have seen any vacant lounge chairs there and luckily spotted some lawn under the trees with some shade. It was around 10:30am. We were lucky to move only some time after lunch around 2pm. The music at the pool is constant and very l
