I really liked this hotel. All of the staff was nice, food was decent, and the entertainment was awesome. Learn some Spanish and Stay on the property when visiting the DR this is a poor country and a lot of parts look unsafe. The only complaint is the couch in the villa smelled horrible. Like previous people had went and played in the ocean and came and sat on the couch, however, I did not let management know so I can’t really complain also had trouble getting the tub to work.

The hotel's various payments require greater transparency, such as the extra children's meal charges, which cost a lot of money. Although the hotel agreed to refund the money in the end, it inevitably affected the mood of the trip.

So far everything is okay, nice pool area, gym also OK. TV and WiFi disastrous. TV Problematic with the internet, very annoying because the internet was way too slow, one night even a total failure. Watch out for extras. For example late check out until 3pm costs 25 US$ plus 18% tax plus 10% service charge, madness???? And, beware of the misleading booking. Because Garden View rooms are actually on the side of the street - so no garden. Only pool side rooms have garden etc. Restaurant prices very very high due to additional taxes and fees.

I was most surprised by the quality of my room and the wonderful service I received at Riviera Punta Cana Eco~Tourism Hotel. For the price I paid, it was hands-down the best in the area and perfect for my long term stay. The room was so clean & was well-maintained throughout my 2 weeks. It was comfy, cool, and relaxing and the best part, I was only 5 minutes walk to the beach, perhaps 3 if I had walked faster. Yet I was on vacation and truly took in the natural beauty of the grounds, music & vibes, and the authentic culture of all who worked here. What a team! Breakfast started each day off wonderfully and came with my stay. There are specialty local drinks and of all the island’s dinner choices, I ate here more than any other place. The cooks I would refer to as Chefs as they are gifted with making every meal a satisfying experience. It begins with the precedence set by the owners as Marcos cooked fabulous meals also! There is a love that exudes for everyone. I observed special assistance being provided for all persons saying here as they truly are happy to serve making Riviera Punta Cana Eco~Tourism Hotel a most happy place to be! ☀️🏝

On the first day of my stay, I first checked the toilet of the toilet. The toilet of the toilet was not cleaned and disinfected. I wiped the toilet with toilet paper, and there were yellow urine stains on the toilet paper. The coffee, coffee mate, and sugar in the room are not replaced in time every day. Lack of nightshow.

I had a few days to kill before a conference in the United States and thought I would pop down to Punta Cana to see what the place is like. I arrived here, super jetlagged after my fly from Australia, via the US. The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful and very friendly. I was too tired to go out for dinner so I ate at the hotel restaurant in the sky bar which is absolutely a spectacular place to eat. The views are amazing and the staff are super helpful and friendly plus the meal was delicious. It is Japanese inspired so just be mindful of that but I do like Japanese so it was great for me. I had a couple of problems with my room which meant I couldn’t sleep easily. After two nights of the same problem, (having tried to fix it after the first) they very kindly move me to a luxe Seaview room. They went over and above to help me. I get things break in hotels so I wasn’t that upset, especially since they firstly tried to fix it and then when they couldn’t, they promptly moved me. I could not ask for a better outcome. NB: I would suggest you pay for Seaview room because it really is just that much better. My other room was still well appointed and the hotel is very clean and well maintained. The location of this hotel is great. There are plenty of places to eat within just a few minutes walk - including coffeeshops and restaurants, so you have plenty of choice. The breakfast at the hotel was great as were the dinners that I had there. The beach is beautiful and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it as the hotel has beach lounges reserved for guests and there is security in the hotel, meaning that non-guests don’t get in the way including locals, trying to sell stuff. I like there being no kids too. I did a tour to Santo Domingo one-day which meant during pick up the bus visited quite a lot of the other real luxury resorts and the one thing I would say this Hotel has over those ultra luxury all inclusive resorts is that you can walk to places easily and you’re not stuck in your hotel. I guess it depends on what you want, but I prefer to get out and explore a bit and this hotel certainly gives you that option. I would absolutely recommend staying here would come back again if I was ever in this part of the world

This is our fourth visit this time we decided to do a little bit differently. We love the adults only side but the rooms are a little dated so we booked a room at the Barcelo palace, premium level ocean front in building one, but spent most of our time, in fact, all of our time in the adults only section. The service in this resort is truly spectacular. The ladies by the pool, Belkis, Ava Marleny are truly superb and take care of you with wonderful service. You really don’t need to swim up bar with these ladies George and Marleny from the entertainment team always swing bye have a chat to you very welcome and invite you to do the Zumba etc.. The Buffay at Karibe is awesome. The selection is truly amazing the wait staff from one of the managers, Iris and Maria are such a welcome part to the day. The chefs are more than willing to make anything for you at breakfast not counting salads, cheeses and pastries. I counted 37 options , anybody who complains about this food he’s really not used to traveling I see a lot of mentions about five star you have to understand. This resort is a five star by Barcelo standards not by the international hotel ratings if you would compare this to a four seasons, Conrad, JD Marriott, or Ritz Carlton. Of course it’s not going to measure up, but at 350 at night all inclusive it’s hard to find fault . We met a lot of airline pilots and air crew at this resort. I think it’s fair to say that they are used to staying in pretty high-end properties. All of the pilots recommended Chez gourmet, and we’ve been a number of times. The service is exemplary, and the food is spectacular. My wife could not decide between lobster tail and château Briand so our wonderful server brought her both I must give a big shout out to Mabel and Premium services. She takes care of all our restaurant bookings. Make sure we get the room that we like, and always look out for us having an awesome It is true that the adults only side the rooms are old and in need of refurbishment and the resort is looking a little tired in some areas, but it is spotlessly clean very very well-maintained, and this price point is hard to beat We found our perfect four day vacation spot. We now arrive Sunday leave Thursday stay at the palace side in a premium level, oceanfront Jacuzzi room and spend our time enjoying the beach and the fabulous service at adults only side. I recently read a lot of reviews how people think the staff are surly and rude to be honest with you. I have always found that you get out what you put in , we always make time to chat with the staff. We tip consistently and accordingly and it is very well received. We find the staff at this resort to be exemplary. The lunch Buffay at Las Brisas is truly spectacular. You come ask the chefs to make anything that you like Please, PM me for any questions.

This trip was amazing. The resort was beautiful and easy to navigate. The rooms are quite large and the location is isolated and quiet. The beach is beautiful, the food was delicious, the drinks were wonderful. The staff were all really friendly and the service was generally great. There are a lot of vegan and vegetarian options which was great! All the events were really enjoyable and overall it was a really relaxing and memorable vacation! Shout out to the activities director Miki for making our stay extra special!
