This hotel seems to be a nice all inclusive choice, but seems to be a little bit out of care and need a remake in terms of customer service. Facilities are great but worn, maybe because I was in the end if the summer season… who knows! At first moment they want to sell you like a club membership to have sone kind of upgrades and with benefits like a time -share, we took that “speach” at our third day (not the first day) and let me tell you something, you don’t need to have that membership to enjoy almos all the facilities. Rooms are ok, but TV was not working properly and the remote was not functioning. Air conditioning of the room was not that hold as expected. Food is good at all restaurants, every night there is a different activity at the Lobby which is good! Swimming pool is big but has several tiles that came off. A lot of beach sand inside the pool. Pool activities are very good! Some people that we can highlight like the best in class in customer service that obviously were trained in other hotels with their previous work experience! Here are the best in class employees: Royalton Chic Best in class persons: Rosa Gabriel (positivo) Vicente (positivito) Johan (pescari) Eddy (chef elements) Fernando Fitzgerald (front desk) Fausto (vespa) Jilbert Jermias (plancha de omelette) Alberto Pedro Felix Rosa is the best of the best! Everything was so so beautiful! The hotel grounds were always so clean. Our butler Samuel was simply incredible!! He went above and beyond what we could've even imagined. I told him it was my birthday a couple of weeks back, and while we were out on a day long excursion, he had flower peddles all over our room and a bubble bath ready with balloons. One afternoon, he had a bucket of ice with Mike's favorite beer in it for him. JJ was also so kind and helpful while we were there! Then we met Enrique Moto, our Member Services Consierge, by Prime!! He was so helpful and will continue help to us in our future travel endeavors. We can't wait to come back!!!

WARNING: This is a lengthy review for you, the Traveler, so that you can make an informed decision about visiting this property after reading. Last year, my husband and I planned a family trip to DR for our daughter’s 25th birthday in October, 2024. We made the travel arrangements at the Royalton Chic through Jet Blue Vacations for 7 people (my husband, myself, 3 daughters and daughter’s bestie) and my sister-in-law (SIL) made hers separately. Fast forward to September, 2024. We received an email stating the hotel was undergoing “planned renovations” and they were moving us to the Royalton Bavaro. Daughter #2 was very adamant about us not switching due to their poor reviews. So, we called the Chic directly and were told it was up to us if we wanted to remain at the Chic, so we did. (KEEP THIS IN MIND FOR FUTURE REFERENCE) PRO: We arrived at the hotel (free transfer through Jet Blue) and were welcomed by the staff with a fruity blackberry something or other drink (not to my liking, but oh well). The property is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, the large pool was under renovations, which we were informed prior to our arrival. CON: Only one of the rooms was ready, but that was okay since we were able to go to the buffet. As I previously mentioned, my SIL made her reservation separate from us through Jet Blue and somehow managed to book a room in the “Diamond Club”. Well! They took my SIL to a separate desk and she returned 10 minutes later with a glass of champagne (RATS! Why couldn’t we have been given champagne instead of the nasty tasting cocktail drink) and informed us that her room was ready (hmph). We were able to check into our rooms after we ate and stayed for a week. Here’s a summary of the PROs and CONs: CON: Purchase or upgrade to Diamond Club. Otherwise, you will be treated like a second or third-class citizen, even if you are a big tipper. My husband and I ARE big tippers and always tip regardless if it is an all-inclusive resort. However, it did not matter – we were underwhelmed by the service. PRO: The rooms are HUGE! They’re roomy enough for my husband and I not to get in each other’s way. They also have a patio where you can sit outside. CON: There’s no microwave in the room. My husband and I are not big eaters and quite often pick at our food. It would have been nice if we had a microwave so that we could bring our food back to the room. CON: They are stingy with face towels, bring your own. I had to call almost every day for face towels. And, housekeeping would never replace the ones we used. What in the world!!! I can’t shower with these big ole’ hand towels. CON: The beds are horrible in the regular suites (I don’t know about the Diamond Club). I left with my back and hips aching from the hard mattress. PRO: THE SPA IS EXQUISITE!!! One of the best I have been to so far. We normally go the day before our departure. And lucky for us we did, because my tail bone was killing me at thi

Just come back from13 nights unlucky for us To call this hotel 5 star is a joke the staff are 5 star but management are not organised chaos is more like it woke on Monday 30 to find main pool closed and not been informed they asked if we wanted to move hotels we paid for a adult only they wanted us to go to a family hotel witch we declined app to book a restaurant did not work sometimes also closed without warning this was supposed to be a birthday present for my partner

I experienced the WORST VACATION in my life. I was there between September 19th-22nd. I came on the vacation with a friend who is a Diamond member of the resorts and chose this property to celebrate her birthday. Upon check-in I immediately reported the temperature in my room to be unbearably HOT, and a member of the maintenance staff was dispatched. I was told to give the AC 20 minutes to recalibrate and begin to cool the room. I left the room for 2 hours and went to my friend’s room to be comfortable. 2 hours later the room was still hot. It was so hot that my friend, the diamond club member, was unable to sit in the room with me as i waited for the staff. I went to the concierge stand after waiting a hour for someone to come to the room. I was told that i would be given another room. I was then shuffled between staff for the duration of the day. The first night i was forced to sleep on the floor of my friend’s room because i was never recontacted. After being introduced to Pedro, who said he was the hotel’s manager the following day and due to the language barriers, the usual customer service pretenses were completely negated. He more than likely did not intend to reveal as much as he did but in his explanation he mentioned that discrepancies such as this happened when the hotel was ‘overbooked as it was in this instance’, but again i would be given a new room. I then inquired about compensation for the inconvenience of my first night. To which Diana, another member of the management team, responded it was my choice to sleep on her floor when i had my own room. I must at this point mention that Diana no longer held dialogue with me she would only respond to questions from my friend,the diamond club member. she would in fact, respond to MY questions, through my friend, for her to relay to me as if I was not even sitting there. I think it’s also important to mention that I am a 45 year old woman. A US Army veteran and massage therapist by trade. That is important to mention because when offering compensation for the inconvenience Pedro assured us that he could give us amenities in the hotels such as top shelf alcohol, that was not available to other patrons- a special meal - a massage or countless other options offered at the hotel. All of which was not told to the staff the next day. The next morning when we spoke with Diana, she inquired to Pedro if any of those things were of offer and he responded to her ‘no’. She however, went on to offer us a 15 minute massage. I mentioned that I am a massage therapist to say I know that a 15 minute massage is a waste of my time and the therapist time that you were going to dispatch to give me the massage. I want to also mention that we were instructed to sign forms stating that we would not leave bad reviews on the resort and that we would relieve the resort of any liability to anything that may have happened to us during this inconvenience. I was finally given a room after midnight the following day

Royalton Chic was a beautiful location with wonderful people. Food-Hunter(steak house) and Tandoori (Indian) were my personal favorites. The Chef came out to greet us as he made a special vegan dinner for my friend. We do appreciate that they offer vegan and gluten free items. Thank you Fausto who was our favorite waiter. So thoughtful every day. The buffet we only used for breakfast but it had a large selection and I loved the omelet station. Pros- Junior Santana was our butler and made all of our dinner reservations on the 1st day of arrival. He also had the room decorated as we were celebrating a birthday. It was pretty and she was surprised. Enrique Mota was our Concierge and excellent. I had a question and didn't know he was off and he still responded to my text within a few minutes. The people serving around the pool were fun as well. Cons-The pool closed at 6 and for an adult only resort I thought it was early. The music selections that the DJ play could be more diverse. Diamond Club-I am a DC member and I think it's worth every dollar. I love the DC lounge, the separate pool area, and having a butler is a great help. SPA-The spa was one of the best amenities at the resort. I recommend going to the spa to everyone. Review This place exceeded my expectations! The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the rooms were clean and attentive. We had a blast with all the activities offered, and always felt safe and secure. The food was delicious - every meal had a large variety. Our Butler service (Teudi) was superb. Highly recommend!

This is my second visit to Chic Punta Cana. I absolutely loved the first visit which prompted me to pick this resort for my 40th birthday celebration with friends. Unfortunately this second visit did not live up to the 1st. The rooms definitely need a refresh. I was in both building 3 and 1 (because my room was given away due to airline delays) and both rooms had a damp/mildew smell which was off putting. We had ants in our room and on our bed. The restaurants were good at night but the buffet was so hot I had concerns about food safety so I did not feel comfortable eating certain items. I found the entertainment to be lacking. Two days around the pool was completely dead. Very low music being played with no vibe team to engage guests. Definitely not the party resort I remember from my first visit. Luckily I was with friends and we made the best of it but if I had come here alone I would have been disappointed. Despite the above my stay was made much better by the staff at the resort. My butler Junior was great and went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Chef Ambiorix at Hunters provided us with a delicious Dominican lunch and farewell dinner! The bartenders at the Diamond club beach bar were great!
