Zostel Plus Lonavala

Alert❌❌ - do not book Zostal lonavala and any other location in advance they only do business and keep eye on ur hard earn money , if u want to change ur plan or cancel closer to the date due to some urgency they do not refund and only give excuse about policy, no humanity, very bad management and service. You can get much better resort than this in lonavala. Save your self!

This is a new property and while it is propagated as a luxury property by Zostel it fails on both counts..neither does it have the Zostel flavor nor is it luxury. The concept of Zostel is focussed on Solo and Backpacker travellers. This property is expensive. They have very few dorms. Their focus is primarily on the villas and cottages. The food items are exorbitantly priced and they do not have the concept of half plate. So as a solo traveler be prepared to shell out at least INR 400 per meal and waste a lot of food that you can't consume. There are no activities and the property being in the middle of nowhere, one can only get bored unless you have come with a purpose to work here or study. Wifi works well but no phone network. However there is a significant number of power failures when the wifi also goes off. No board games available. Common room made of glass is scorchingly hot to spend any time there. For a luxury property they have absolutely untrained staff. I was having my lunch in the room when 4 staff members came in to fix the TV. They were absolutely inconsiderate that the guest was having lunch. During the afternoon the reception sent someone who woke me up by banging on the door to collect the AC remote which they wanted to check. They replaced a working remote with a non working one. The cottages are expected to be private but the staff would jump into the backyard of the cottage anytime..so do not try the jacuzzi as any peeping tom can arrive anytime. The housekeeping staff provides one towel at a time. No bath towels or bath robes were provided in the room as shown in the pictures. I had to ask and follow up for everything. The restaurant staff brought in food without cutlery and I had to walk all the way from my room to the cafeteria just to get the cutlery. The food tastes below average and it's a misery to eat it at the price paid. It is constructed well but due to the mismanagement and untrained staff, except the view from the cottage, there is nothing worth spending your time and money on this property.

Firstly the room we wanted was a private room however we got a mixed dorm We were not okay with this as it included males but we said we'll try it out The dorm has just one fan and very tight spaced , would go for the cottage room Pros: Good views,amazing scenery,lovely weather Game room is good with billiards,Swings and hammock are the best,Very aesthetic at night and early morning CONS: FOOD most important was very restricted to certain items Ordered chicken tikka ,Veg Diwani and burger which did not disappoint However the chicken cream soup was too salty and paneer chilly was too sour Couldn't finish it Ordered Potato shots that was too oily Cold coffee was Ok not great Maggi was good The food was super restricted because it was away from the main road so you have no choice but to order from here for all meals The watermelon juice was 300 which was shocking STAY: The dorm had bedsheets that did not smell great There were no toiletries or towel provided and you cannot order room service in the dorm which is kind of a bummer The shower area was absolutely amazing in the bathroom the pool was Great and well kept

Hi Guys!! Zostel Plus Lonavala is a very cool property. The location is the main USP because you can just walk down to the Pawna lake in 2 Mins and feel that cool water of the Lake. I stayed in the female Dorm with shared Bathroom. The Dorm was Super Clean and so was the bathroom. The beds were soo comfy and cushy. It felt like a small cabin you wouldn't want to leave. The Garage Bistro and Café is the eating area, the food is decent but the DRINKS are Super Expensive. So I would prefer to carry my own liquor the next time. There a Glass Room, which is a cool place to chill, play games like TT, Jenga, chess, Board games etc. The property also has a swimming pool which was surprising very clean and organized. It felt like a swimming area of a 5-Star resort. The staff, well the staff wasn't very trained and friendly. When I checked in, the person on the counter didn't even felt like inviting me with a smile. So yea, there's some scope of improvement. The Zostel organizes Boating during the Evening, it costs Rs 500 for around 45 minutes ride, which is also way too much. Apart from that they don't have any other activity. The WIFI is very slow, so if vou're visiting for WFH, you should reconsider. So all in all, I would give 3.5 to my Zostel plus Lonavala Experience. @officialyashmita for more pictures

It's my first solo trip and the property is amazing.. Peaceful.. Beautiful.. The food is amazing... Rooms are clean.. Staff is cooperative... Overall a amazing experience.. Met Mr Varun Lala the General Manager as with helpful nature and ready to help always.. If anyone going please ask for him which would make your stay more comfortable .. Thank you Zostel for having such people on board who make our stay comfortable.. Would always will be with zostel stay.. Thank you.. It rocks

A place in the heart of pawana.... absolutely mesmerizing, with a view that will stay with you even after you are back to the hustle of city.... The hospitality is very warm...do look out for Lala, the manager of the property.. extremely warm, welcoming and ensures you have everything that will make your trip a surreal experience .... The food and music keeps you upbeat...
