Hotel Studio Estique

Pune|1.63km from एकता एन्विरोंमेंट पार्क & ओपन एयर जिम्
Hotel Studio Estique (Next to Inox Multiplex, Near Council Hall, Bund Garden Road, Pune, Pune, India) where I stayed at on 26 Mar, 2022 was quite disappointing. To start with, there are no bellboys – you lug your own luggage up two steep flights of stairs to the reception desk. Check in was seamless, and the floor ***ager pointed out behind me to 4 tables – “Breakfast is served here…” etc., etc. It’s a really tight lobby, only slightly larger than my own living room here in Pune. I entered my third-floor room, and found that the AC was working well. I opened the curtains and saw a huge pale yellow building stretching end-to-end across my window – I couldn't see anything else. Now my list of problems: The room had no paper napkins. The toilet roll in the loo was only about three feet long. There was one bottle of drinking water of some unknown brand - 500 ml. There was nothing in the mini-fridge – it wasn’t even switched on. There was no spoon or stirrer in the tray containing two tea bags, two coffee sachets and two sachets of creamer. I could tolerate and ignore all these problems. But when I lifted the electric kettle to make some coffee, out ran three cockroaches! I cannot attach videos, so I will post screenshots of them. I went to a nearby shopping mall (Dorabjee’s) and bought paper napkins and drinking water. The telephone's dial list was was destroyed by some kid's writing numbers all over it! And nowhere could I find a mention of which numbers to dial for Reception, Housekeeping, Room Service, etc. I finally discovered the Room Service menu in a draw. The condition of the menu - with food particles, soiled and frayed pages - just about killed my appetite. But it did have the phone numbers hidden in the last few pages. So I called Reception, and he gave me the Room Service number (rather than connecting the call himself). I called that number, and a guy answers, ”Hello”. I reply, “Hello”, and he replies, ”Hmm?” So I ask ”Room Service?” He says, ”haan”. How's that for phone etiquette? Based on the menu, I asked if they served Chicken Chettinad. “No, not available.” So I asked for Kadhai chicken, “Is it boneless?” The guy on the phone responded, “Extra charge for ‘boneless’.” But when he delivered the food (yes, apparently the same guy), he said, “I haven’t charged you for boneless.” I could visualise the little cupped palm behind him, so I tipped him fifty bucks, and he was ecstatic. But the food... I had told them to make it with some gravy for the rice. They solved that problem by just adding some water and boiling it. I am a decent cook mysef so I know. On the brighter side, the onions and lemon slices were cut perfectly. Really. But they didn't give a serving spoon! I had to use the same fork and spoon for serving and for eating. Now the bed. It creaked every time I turned. Parts of it were lumpy. But overall, not bad. What was bad was that I could hear the toilet flushing loudly on both sides of the room throughout the

Really enjoyed my time at the Oakwood residence. The staff are friendly and very helpful with suggesting local restaurants, spas and assisting with any arrangements that are required. The rooms are clean and have all the necessities for a long term guest. The room service and breakfast are also amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel especially if you are staying for a longer period of time.

It's a decent hotel. They call themselves a business 4 star but it lacks in certain places. For example the bathroom sink is clogged. Stains on the marble. The highlight was the view from the room. Overall it's a decent hotel. Also, they only give 2 small bottles of water complimentary in the room. You atleast expect two 1 litre bottles to be given complimentary.

The reservation room is recommended to bring breakfast, it is more sanitary, there are few places to eat around, the hotel wifi is not good, there are three security personnel at the entrance, and the security of the entrance to the hotel. There is Japanese cuisine on the 0th floor of the hotel. It is not in the middle and the room is good. I want to say that the sofa in my room, from my stay until I left, is wet. Later I discovered that it should not be artificial, because the air conditioner is heavy. Compared to other surrounding hotels, this hotel is highly recommended and has an airport shuttle. If you want slippers, be sure to ask him to ask!

Excellent reception, tasty and healthy food, hygienic spa, nice decor. We found staff very friendly and helpful. Few minor areas of improvement required. For example Room lock was defective, in room service food came without spoon and fork. Didn't face much problem due to supportive staff.
Hotel Aurora Towers

We reached rather late in the middle of the night owing to our late flight. Hotel checked us in with good service. Room was all ready for us. When we got into the room, as we were tired, we immediately decided to sleep then night off. However, upon pulling back the covers, we were surprised that no doubt the bed was clean, the covers were not. There was ***ly hair all under the cover. Plus there was some hu*** skin also. (Disgusting). We immediately removed the cover and slept without the cover. Following morning, we needed to make coffee and tea for ourselves. Unfortunately, there was no electric kettle in the room. Our hopes of having a hot cuppa in the morning were dashed. Bubble burst! So decided to have a shower first. The shower was rather difficult to use as the know for the shower was rather awkwardly placed, hidden under the handle. Plus it was rather difficult to use the shower as you need the shower on at full blast to stay in shower mode. If the shower pressure is low, it automatically drops into bathtub mode. What was pleasant though was the water pressure was awesomely strong. Having had our shower, we went down for breakfast. We were the first there. Variety of vegetarian food was okay, more of Southern Indian, idlis, uppama, and the likes. Non veg had a slightly different menu. Overall, I would say no doubt it is a 5 star hotel, in my point of view, owing to the above it drops to 3 stara only.
