My husband and I have just completed a four week trip to France revisiting some of our favorites places from Bordeaux to Provence, the Côte d'azur and finally, after a 20 year absence, Burgundy . I knew we wanted to stay outside of Beaune and because Puligny-Montrachet is famous for its Chardonnay we chose Olivier Leflaive Hotel. The hotel was the best one we stayed in - wonderful, luxurious, elegant do not adequately describe our room (15 - the Patrick Suite named after Olivier’s brother) nor does it convey the hospitality that we experienced over our five night stay - so much so I wanted to reserve the room for another five nights. It is my understanding that Julie Leflaivie, Olivier’s daughter is responsible for the decor. Well done as it excludes warmth and sophistication with a perfect blend of both. The staff beginning with the front desk, the sommelier, the wait staff at dinner and the lovely woman who prepared our coffee every morning exceeded our expectations of a hotel staff. Everyone was delightful and made us feel welcome. And then there was Patrick with a warm bonjour or bonsoir upon each meeting. And the wonderful cave visit with Olivier guiding the group while imparting his knowledge and humor to make it a special memory. We hope to return again to Burgundy and the cote de Beaune and if we do I would not hesitate to stay again at the Olivier Leflaive Hotel.

This is truly a special place, and of all our wine tours in Burgundy, Olivier Leflaive remains a standout. Pure small town hospitality enveloped by a contemporary and luxurious setting. Everyone was beyond helpful and wonderful the moment we arrived (a little early for check in so they took our bags while we had some lunch and wine in the beautiful bar); the informative and fun vineyard tour, to the truly exceptional lunch paired wine tasting, this was an experience to remember. Reserving the hotel bikes made for an exceptional afternoon riding amongst the vineyards. And we will be back, while sharing our praise with every friend thinking of visiting the area.

This is the quintessential hotel in the Cotes de Beaune. Family run and so friendly. We met Mssr. LeFlaive and his granddaughter. It was like staying with friends. The vineyard tour was awesome. There is nothing quite like standing at Montrachet.

We had the most wonderful stay at Olivier Leflaive- from their impeccable hotel to their out of this world restaurant and wines, and their wonderful staff, it was a truly fantastic experience. Their knowledge of Burgundy and wine of course was amazing. We even got to meet Olivier Leflaive himself who was utterly charming. We were recommended this hotel by a friend and will certainly be coming back!
