We had our Christmas dinner here again this year. We came back this year because it was so good! Sue and her team looked after us again! She set us a quiet space for us because one of our party suffers from a disability. The food was delicious and they maintained the high standards they set last year! Great Christmas dinner with great choices! But most of all the staff! They all were so welcoming and friendly! Thank you sue and your team! We know already where we will be having our Christmas dinner next year!

Very disappointed, few issues which made my stay uncomfortable. Sink plug jammed (this was eventually rectified ) and radiator in bathroom not working meant no relaxing bath for me after a long day working and travelling as it was far too cold! Not just cold but VERY COLD! I even limited my trips to the toilet due to cold. Cobwebs and spider in bathroom. Breakfast included I was again disappointed that it was only a continental breakfast unless you want to pay extra for cooked😕. So for me too expensive for the issues and cold I encountered. Personally for me the only nice part of the stay was the lovely receptionist, sorry but can't remember whether it was Kelly or Kerry but bless you.

Booked a table for 17:30 for the Sunday roasts, confirmed one would be vegan and told this would be a cauliflower steak which was fine. Then was told she couldn’t guarantee they would have any roasts left by 17:30. Called again to see if we could go at 16:00 and was told by someone else there were plenty of roasts left but he’d not heard of one being vegan. His colleague then informed him it would be the cauliflower steak. Attended at 16:00 and ordered two roasts, one vegan which was again reiterated to me would be the cauliflower steak in place of any meat. Asked for a drink without ice; drink was served with ice. Brought out a tray of bread and butter; no vegan butter. My vegan steak came out and was just the actual cauliflower steak main dinner from the menu; no roast potatoes at all, just tiny Charlotte potatoes, no vegan gravy, and a cheesy dish to share… This was not a vegan roast with a cauliflower steak in place of meat, it was just their cauliflower steak main dinner. Tried ordering the strawberries with black pepper and bourbon that I’d seen on their menu earlier that morning; was told none of the staff had heard of it. Even partners actual roast was tiny with three roast potatoes. I won’t be going back.

I stayed with my Sister for 2 nights, as we had a Wedding to attend in the area. Andy and Sue were very friendly and helpful and so were their Team. Good and varied Menu. Very well situated for site seeing in the West Sussex area. Would definitely stay again and explore some more. Kind Regards Joy Grover

We have become regulars for morning coffee. The staff are very welcoming – top marks - and the building/ surroundings full of character. Subtle background music and even “no music” options in selected areas for meetings and relaxing. Can't wait 'till summer when we can chill with a bottle of Bolly in the gardens!!

My wife and I stayed with you Saturday night (1 night), we thoughally enjoyed our night away. Interesting decor and history. The room was very comfortable and staff pleasant. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed the evening, although there was plenty of fat on the steak almost 40% fat, not soo appealing given the cost of our meal overall ! Our review is predominantly possative and enjoyed the night away, what an idyllic location. Kind regards Warren Stembridge

Ah, the Roundabout hotel, a place where chaos reigns supreme and the guests are left questioning their decision to stay. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a server who seemed to have no knowledge of the menu or the concept of basic customer service. When we inquired about the roast beef, she simply shrugged her shoulders and mumbled something about it being "tougher than a retired drill sergeant." (Well maybe she was thinking that, as it turned out it was tough). The roast beef was changed without argument for the chicken... oh but we have no more chicken so it will have to be the gammon.... And don't even get me started on the chef. Instead of being in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for the guests, we found him sitting in an office chair at reception, watching footbal loudly and ignoring the chaos that was unfolding in the dining room. Needless to say, the lack of attention to detail was apparent in every aspect of our dining experience. But it's not all doom and gloom at the Roundabout hotel. The decor may be outdated and the service may be subpar, but the entertainment value is truly unmatched. From the wacky interactions between the staff to the never-ending mishaps that occur on a daily basis, you can't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all. So if you're in the mood for a good laugh and don't mind sacrificing a bit of quality in exchange for entertainment, then the Roundabout hotel is the place for you. Just make sure to bring your own dinner rolls, because the roast beef is definitely a no-go.
