Great stay at the la Gran Tortuga! Comfortable large beds, hot water and a generous breakfast. Jose was very accommodating and helped us book tours, get to the airport and any other needs we had! Great base to explore Isabel Island and so nice to come back to a lovely room after a big day.

I had a very nice 1-night stay at La Gran Tortuga this week. The Room was clean, the AC cold, the hot water was hot, the Wifi worked well, and the bed was comfortable. In other words, they delivered on everything expected at this price point. But they really went beyond. The breakfast was delicious. They helped me get a Sierra Negra tour booked for the following day. It was clear that they really wanted me to enjoy my stay and wanted to help however they could.

Great central location, handy to shops and restaurants. Clean great sized rooms and bathroom, bright with a pleasant outlook. Excellent breakfast. Good staff, owner was good enough to drive us to the ferry at 5am.

Nothing fancy but convenient. You cannot throw toilet paper in the toilet which I think is plumbing across the island. Its conveniently next to a grocery store. They have lovely flowers in their garden. She makes fresh breakfast. They also have a pharmacy next door. Breakfast was juice, cereal, eggs, toast.

Is het plaatsje kleine slaperige stadje/dorpje Puerto Villamil op het eiland Isla Isabela ligt het uiterst comfortabele 2 sterren hotel "La gran Tortuga" . Op anderhalve minuut wandelen naar het zandstrand en in één minuut naar het centrale dorpplein waar.zich enkele restaurantjes bevinden. Het is een klein hotel, niet luxe, maar wel heel comfortabel. Fijn praktisch ingerichte kamers die ruim van opzet zijn. Een groot bed en eigen badkamer met 24/7 warm water en een eigen toilet. Goede dikke handdoeken. Alles is comfortabel en ziet er netjes uit. Tuurlijk als je met een vergrootglas gaat kijken, dan zij er echt wel opmerkingen te maken. Belangrijkste is, dat alles schoon is. Het internet (starlink) is het snelste wat wij in Ecuador en Galapagos hebben mogen gebruiken. Wat een luxe. Ontbijt is goed in orde. Fruitsapje vers geperst, wat stukjes fruit, yoghurt en cruesli, een broodje, een ei naar keuze en koffie. Goed qua keuzmogelijkheden is het na een paar dagen wellicht eentonig. Maar voor een dag of 3 a 4. Is het prima te.doen. De dame van het ontbijt is uiterst vriendelijk en spreekt voornamelijk Spaans en paar woorden Engels. De eigenaar spreekt Spaans en behoorlijk Engels. Het is een hele lieve behulpzame man. Wij hebben hier een paar fijne nachten gehad en heerlijk rustig geslapen. Graag komen we hier nog een keer terug om alle mooie natuur en dieren op het eiland nogmaals te mogen aanschouwen . Het snorkelen met de zeeleeuwen in de haven, de vele zeeschildpadden, de haaien en zeepaardjes, de mooie wandeling op de vulkaan en de.fij.e.relaxe.sfeer in dit dorpje dat in 2023 nog niet was overlopen door hordes toeristen.

Hostal sencillo y acogedor, el dueño es súper amable, nos ayudó a saber con que compañía turística habíamos hecho los tour e incluso se ofreció a llevarnos a las distintas compañías para que pudiésemos reconocer cuál era la nuestra. El desayuno muy rico con gran variedad de frutas de la zona.
