Sunset Plaza Beach Resort Puerto Vallarta All Inclusive Reviews

Excellent small all inclusive resort, but for older couples rather than big families or spring breakers. No big buffet (except the wonderful Mexican spread on Thursday nights). Restaurant a la carte with various dishes made to order. No night entertainment or dance club. No water sports. For a quiet relaxing weekend. Kudos to the local hardworking staff that go out of their way to accommodate any or your wishes or needs.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. the food was made to order only and was delicious.friendly staff and the service was great. Disappointed My 3 year old wasn’t allowed to use the play park under our supervision. Overall great resort would stay here again

Best experience I’ve ever had at an all inclusive resort in Puerto Vallarta. From the ease of checking in with assistance from Marina and our Butler Miquel, to the entire staff who are so friendly and willing to bend over backwards to accommodate. The beautiful room with the most awesome view was a highlight of our vacation. Our room was cleaned promptly every day and the mini bar stocked. The Pools and the Grounds are amazing. The Mirador Restaurant was great every day for Breakfast especially. Two of the nights we were there, a Buffet with entertainment was provided. We preferred the Restaurants and ordering from the Menu. There is also Pizza Restaurant, and the thin crust Is great! Food is available 24 hours. I can’t say enough about the staff. They work so hard to please the guests. Don’t forget to tip? They are so dedicated and deserving. We look forward to returning.

The place exceeded my expectations. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect and the food never disappointed.

We’ve been going to Mexico for 30 years, favorite by far ..this resort is smaller more intimate .. very nice feel ..Ala carte all inclusive food. Choices are very good, quality is good. Coffee shop offers really good fresh fruit, vegetables and pastries. Alex makes great pizzas next to the bakery. Breakfast and lunch choices are good much better than we’ve experienced elsewhere..wait staff is amazing .. Luis, Rolando,Miguel, Jorge, Gabriel, Issac, Juvencio,Alex. bartender restaurant am I didn’t get his name.. awesome service!! Raymundo front very helpful !! Checkin pleasant except for delay due to room not being available .. first to be greeted by someone who isn’t irritated with checking guests in. Suggestions: bring own shampoo, conditioner, body wash. Resort provides this in tiny bottles but quality not good or anything you would want to use. Liquid hand soap as well bring unless you like bar soap that’s provided. Bring ear plugs as noise travels if you have a family of young children next door who are screamers, yellers, like to slam doors or run around the room, resort great with asking them to turn this noise level down a bit. Rope around chairs on the beach keeping venders at a distance, loved this, but rope removed after a couple days so venders allowed to ask you over and over if you wanted to buy as well as guests next door where almost no seating or shade was available coming over to use the chairs and palapas. We had a great first time vacation at the Sunset Plaza Resort Puerto Vallarta. Property was clean, well maintained, food options were great and the people were helpful and ready to serve. 5 stars!

The hotel was lovely. The views are amazing. The restaurants had different menus every night for dinner. Breakfast was good, the lunch bar I thought was the best it was so good. But I would say by far this was the best service we have ever gotten at an all inclusive. Everyone was so friendly and prompt. Every time you turned around somebody was there asking if you needed anything, I would highly recommend this resort

Great property and we plan to go back next year. There are a couple of things to be aware of: 1. They're building an extension on the hotel. No work was done while we were there, but its is a bit on an eyesore. 2. They have a 45-minute chair hold rule (even make you sign in agreement), but it's not enforced. People go down at 7am and put their towels on chairs to hold them, but then don't show up for 3, 4, 5 or more hours. So go down early if you want a good chair. (forget about getting a cabana) 3. It's a little dated in places. I assume they'll refresh the old section when the new build is complete. 4. The menu gets a little boring, especially breakfast and lunch since it doesn't change. But all in all, it's a great place to vacation and as I said, we'll definitely be going back. The people are lovely, the drinks are good, and the area (PV in general) is great. We walked everywhere and felt completely safe. More so than in many large American cities. Highly recommended.

We have visited this property for the past 5 years every year in December always have loved staying there. However this year they did not care who we were . Gave all the attention to brand new visitors looking to sell time shares only. The loyalty was non exsistsnt. Very cold very rude very uncomfortable

The property has extra large rooms which limits the number of people staying hence reducing any chance of lines or overcrowding. There was always lounge chairs open by the pools every day we stayed. Never stood in line for anything. This is a property for people who aren’t looking for a party atmosphere. It’s a short cab ride into town anywhere and walkable to the Malecon. We would definitely stay here again.

I must admit, when I arrived I was disappointed in the property. The photos made it look so luxurious, and the reviews sounded so wonderful. The next morning my opinion changed. I appreciated it all so much. It was exactly what we needed. I loved the friendliness of the staff, the comfortable, safe property with easy access to the beach. We traveled with our grown children and their babies. We were safe and very well taken care of. Loved this place!

What a wonderful place. We had a so much fun we are going back for our next vacation.
