Apartamentos Portonovo

The good Firstly Caroline on reception was a superstar, really helped when my case went missing and was a pleasure to talk to. All the staff were very kind and helpful. Room was great, clean and tidy and had everything we needed including to view and all day sun. Balcony was large which was great for evening meals. The bad Could do with a lick of paint but nothing major. Room service was a bit non existent but clean when done, our shower kept flooding regardless of where we pointed the shower! Power shorted out and an electrician came a week later on our last day. Lol We were told we could have a late check out and planned our last day only to be told we couldn't have one and had to be out by 12. We were told we could use a shower but had to pay 10 euros each for a towel so we said we had our own towels. Were then told it's 10 euros for the key to use the shower? Conclusion We loved it here and would stay again, great hub for local beaches and far enough away from the louder areas. Just needs a bit of tlc but it was very acceptable accommodation.

When we arrived, we asked for a fan as we knew there was no aircon. Arrived on a Saturday told us they could not supply a fan until Monday as housekeeping do not work a Sunday. Fans should be kept where reception have access to them. However, I did get one on the Monday after having to ask again. I reported there was only one curtain in the bedroom after 2 days, but I still didn't receive one. I was told housekeeping was trying to find one. In the end I used the throw off the bed and attached it to the curtain rail myself.I was so disappointed as the room was lovely, so we're the guys on reception and the housekeepers. This is basic. We paid enough for the room. Would I stay again ? Yes, but I would have to have confirmation before that the room had all the basics.

A beautiful apartment with amazing staff from receptionists to cleaners. Nothing is to much trouble for the staff. Amazing view of the marina. Fully recommended. We had a problem with losing the key to our safe but within hours it was sorted although in this day and age you'd expect them to have a spare master key but hey it was our fault entirely.

We have stayed here now at least 4 times…this year all requests to reception prior to arrival were met and booking in was no problem. Granted there is no Air Con but you are not paying for it…rooms cleaned most days but remember to put the tag out for the room to be serviced, it most likely won’t if you don’t….Apartment areas and reception are very clean and well attended…we had one day when a company were in trimming trees and bushes, and it was luck if you weren’t hit by falling branches at the pool and Indian restaurant area. Please see most negative reviews as an exaggeration as this place is not bad at all….for the price…

Fantastic views (stayed in apartment 134. A little dated but did.nt spoil the holiday. Towels were changed twice when we were there not counting the ones when we arrived. Bed changed after 3 days. Staff very friendly . Pool fab plenty of beds ( you had to pass through resturante to get to it. But did.nt bother me. Beach round the corner and Spar ten minutes walk plenty bars and restaurants round the doors but we walked up to the Galleries to the shopping centre .. loads of entertainment there. All in all fab holiday. And like I say a bit dated but did.nt spend that long in apartment. Ps no aircon. ...

Fabulous apartment 122 ,we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else now we've stayed here,very clean,lovely pool area,amazing Indian restaurant which we've eaten at many times over the years,beautiful view over the Harbour,helpful gentleman on reception, very comfy beds and well equipped kitchen area ,amazing place to stay honestly, quiet at night all on the flat amazing
