Servatur Altamar

What a fantastic hotel! Absolutely loved our week here. We stopped in a one bedroom apartment and there was everything you needed and more You could always get a sunbed and a slushie & Malibu. The open bar works perfectly as there me no queues and it has everything you could want including a hot chocolate and Baileys. I had been apprehensive about the salt water pool but it was absolutely fine you hardly noticed. The food was lovely, we ate out one nights as there wasn’t anything for my teenage children to eat on Chinese night, but we normally eat out a couple of times when we are away. The hotel was out of the way and we did get a taxi everywhere for about 7 euro but I knew that before we came. The entertainment was great, activities during the day and something on each night We had an absolute blast !

This hotel is overall a lovely hotel, huge balconies with sun all day, quite spacious rooms, the only downside I experienced was the lift, we were situated on B block room 131, we requested a room close to the lift due to 2 of the party having health conditions, we were positioned next to the lift, however on arrival we were told that lift was down and would be repaired the following morning, although they did try to fix the lift, it wasn’t working the whole 11 nights we were there. This put a huge strain on us, having to carry 4 large cases and 4 small cases up 3 flights of stairs. I’m told the lifts break down regularly but are fixed pretty quickly. This hotel has beautiful views, the food is good, however most days we only ate breakfast as we did venture out every day. But overall apart from the lift not working it didn’t ruin our holiday.

We have just returned from a 5 day stay at Altamar hotel for the 3rd time mainly due to the kids wanting to use the football pitch and Pool. Positives: Stunning Views AC works this year Food is ok for a 3 star Good for hiking up and down hill if you like that kind of thing Lovely staff throughout Large Balconys Price £70 a night for 2 adults and 2 teenagers (Book directly with them as we never use tour operators due to the 50% mark up) SPAR prices were reasonable compared with Hyperdino however the Superdino at Mogan Mall prices are significantly cheaper Negatives: Brits that cant handle there drink and abuse the staff which I saw 3 times Its really missing that Entertainment and Cash Bingo Cocktails and Drink I thought seemed watered down compared to previous visits Servatur - Please invest in this hotel what could be one of the best, its really looking tired and would be such an amazing place. Pool B had glass found by my son who cut his toe Overall if your looking for somewhere with stunning views and have low expectations then its great

In general I had a lovely stay. The room had a great view, and I loved that you have your own balcony. They all faced the sea and they had the sun all day. It was a nice option to have. Staff were helpful and friendly. There were a few members who worked on the bar and restaurant who were not as welcoming. I asked for a cocktail from the all inclusive option. She looked at me as if to repeat what I said, and when I repeated it she walked away and made my drink. It did make me feel uncomfortable to go back again. Hospitality is welcoming, and it doesn't cost anything to smile. The cocktails were clearly ready made and far too sweet. Not strong at all. This was disappointing as I had paid for the all inclusive option. I was happy with the food selection. Yes it can be repetitive, but it was cooked to a good standard. Live cooking meaning it was super fresh. The timings of all meals and snacks meant that it was practically opened all day. Going back to my room. It was not to the best cleanliness standard. The balcony clearly hadn't been touched. The table was filthy, and the floor had a lot of hair on it. In my room it also had the odd few hairs around. Not a nice way to enter your room on holiday and it hasn't been given a good clean. This applies to the pool too. There was hair and dirt everywhere. It certainly wasn't cleaned everyday, nor at all when I was there for a week which surely doesn't pass any hygiene standards. This put me off a little using the pool areas. All in all, you get what you get for your money. Considering the money that was spent on this trip, the cleanliness and hygiene needs a big improvement! Being on my own I did feel safe, and the area had loads to do with places to walk to like the Europa Centre. I wish I had been there more often for food and drinks as it was a great prices, service, and the food looked good too. A good holiday, but needs a clean up!

Overall I thought this place was great..it was only an all inclusive 3 days and 3 nights trip with my daughter who had just finished her exams. Room was spacious and clean, had everything we needed. Balcony was huge with amazing views. We never went hungry and I felt there was a good selections and I can be fussy. We took a night walk down to beach which was fun and the hills/paths very steep and slippy but it's all about making memories. The lift was a bit scary but we only used it if we needed to go up. Overall we loved it and I would love to go for longer and take my husband and youngest daughter next time.

Having visited this hotel many times this will probably be the last time. Standards have fallen through the floor. Hotel rules may as well not be there. A man walked into the evening buffet more than once with his shirt wide open exposing an awful hairy body, probably dripping sweat, UNCHALLENGED. Not acceptable in any hotel. People constantly came from the pool to the bar area dripping wet, causing a constant wet floor. People sit in the restaurant in bikinis no cover up. Smoking and vaping is not policed. Why have signs saying no smoking on the front terrace and not stop people vaping!!! Ignorant people who had a much bigger area to sit and vape until their hearts are content but they want the non smoking area. If staff see one on the table or in their hand you can guarantee they are using them. If you're not going to police it then remove the flipping signs. The entertainment has gone rapidly downhill. There's no atmosphere now. Mario may be stretched but he doesn't even say hello. We were in a lift with him, he never spoke to us, just used his phone. The staff aren't over friendly either. The maids are much more friendly. The all inclusive drinks well we used to have proper glasses now stupid tiny ones. We drink the same amount but now much more washing up with constant use of glasses. The Irish cream is rubbish now. Apart from the views our happy place wasn't happy this time at all. Such a shame we fell in love with the place in 2013 and then looks like we separated or divorced in 2025.
