Playa Bachata resort is a 3 star experience. If you want a low cost all inclusive getaway, this place works. Don't expect high-quality food, drinks, or activities and you won't be disappointed. The staff, as in all DR resorts, are very kind and helpful. The check-in process was a little slow; which is odd because I was the only one at check-in. The room was clean, but the furnishings were very dated. I was disturbed to find about a dozen flies crawling at the cold salad bar. The beach is the highlight of this resort. I loved sitting under the palm trees and observing the beautiful sea and sky. Overall, it was a good experience at the price point I paid.

The pool and beach were great. The room was not. Slippery floor in bathroom, tub was a slippery death trap. AC dripped onto the floor, no iron, sheets were dirty. Food was MEh. I've been here before, and the experience was great. This time, it was below average and it felt like they were pushing for folks to go to the Senator next door. It was like they downgraded on purpose to showcase the other hotel.

Las instalaciones por fuera muy bien pero dentro de las habitaciones deberían renovar todo muy viejo la comida regular muy regular en el bufet siempre lo mismo de comer no tenían Coca Cola sin azúcar en los restaurantes ni sacarina por ningún lado un problema para mí ya q soi diabética

Not so great
Unfortunately my stay was not good, starting as soon as you check in. Over an hour to check in, staff was very unorganized. Rooms were clean, but very outdated, rusty, old, lamps were broken and the bathroom was horrible. Food was ok and for one of the restaurants you need it to reserve and even that it was disorganized and was not able to reserve either. The only good thing was the pool and the beach. Will not be returning no more.

You get what you pay for. Pay cash or suffer 20% credit charge from the hotel on resort items; limited dining times; rooms are in dire need of upgrade or basic maintenance. At least beach is pretty.
