Not sure how ******* can advertise a property like this one! It’s outdated and dirty; there is not value for money. There is no registration of guests, no cleaning of rooms and I had to chase the only employee for clean towels. I expect ******* will reimburse me for the nights I had to stay at a different hotel. Very disappointed!

Great location. Our room (#11) was smaller than it appeared in photos. Kitchenette very small and nothing provided except dish detergent. Hammocks were excellent addition but building could use some love. Not good value for money, we left early and found nicer cheaper places on the beach side.

Casa Velero survives on its absolutely fantastic location just a few minutes' walk from the beach in Puerto Morelos. The rest is pure misery. The room cost a small fortune (more than a fine boutique hotel in Tulum!), and during a month-long trip in Mexico, we have not stayed in such a sloppy and dirty place. As you can see in the picture, the dishes from the previous occupants were still in the rack. The floor was crunchy with sand. The bedroom was so dusty that my wife had an acute dust allergy attack. The toilet didn't flush until the 4th attempt. The shower was so clogged that it took real effort to get wet. Oh yes, and on the way in and out, you stumble over paint cans and other junk. On the bright side, it's easy to get out - because the gate facing the street is always open. Not very reassuring.

Excellent - Cute and clean outdoor area with a lot of hammocks, small pool and sofas Good -Fridge in the room -Free morning coffee -Location close to everything Bad - Wifi not working all the time at the outdoor area especially -No cleaning service for the room (have to keep used toilet paper in the bin for many days…) -Dirty walls and mold in the bathroom

The location couldn't really be better, as it was 2 minutes to the beach, restos and amenities. The two woman who were "managing" the place were very pleasant and helpful. The furnishings are comfortable and the beds adequate. However, the whole unit needs a good cleaning, dusting and maybe a little paint. As well, it would be a good idea to invest in some new pots, pans and utentsils. Considering the price, I'd say we got a good deal.

Debra is the ultimate host. The Casa is situated a block off the beach, is clean, well run, has a great little deck and plunge pool, price is good, close to restaurants, supermarket, the main square, taxis etc. Highly recommend. Puerto Morelos has retained some small fishing village charm, the locals are wonderful. Very safe place.
