Fantastic location for our shopping trip, as the hotel is just above the largest shopping mall, and really close to the city centre, good for restaurants and so on. We parked the car on arrival and didn't need to use it until we left.
We had a spacious room on the 6th floor, with a big balcony and sea view, two great king-sized beds and a giant TV.
There was a large desk, and a relaxing area with a comfy armchair and coffee table.This would have needed a lamp for reading or having a drink. The bathroom looked slightly jaded but was fine. Instead of a proper wardrobe, there was an open clothes-hanging rail area opposite the washbasin part of the bathroom, something I've never understood. I dislike not having a proper wardrobe with doors. Fortunately there are some large drawers in the TV table, which helped keep our things tidy.
Breakfast was good, except for the juices. The breakfast room is on the top floor, along with reception, a slightly unusual arrangement but which has a lovely view of the sea.
The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful.

What an excellent find via Trip.com. Novotel Puerto Montt is a lovely hotel centrally located downtown, besides a major shopping centre with lots of eateries & shops. Within walking distance along the promenade from the Bus Terminal, my room had lovely sea view. Breakfast was fair but the view surpassed any negativity.

The room we had had an amazing view, and the most awesome comfortable bed with the best pillows ever. The evening meal was a disappointment, and breakfast was plentiful just manic, with so many people and not enough places to sit.

For the past todays we haven’t had hot water to take shower, no AC, no water last night for several hours, sink is plugged, shower Handel is broken, , no wifi , have been able to take shower for the past 2 days . Horrible experience.

The hotel itself is well-maintained. It's well-located. The problem is that at breakfast time, they should have anticipated the influx of Argentine tourists and made more seating available. For several days, my 86-year-old mother and I were left with beanbag chairs because there were absolutely no tables available. Furthermore, the staff is inadequate for the number of tourists.
Another thing is that the hotel doesn't have a restaurant (even though the ACCOR website indicates otherwise) and doesn't have an alcohol license. I find it simply incredible.
When we got back from the plane, all we wanted was a drink. We went to the "restaurant" and were told they didn't sell alcohol and the only food they had was some pre-made dishes (maybe they're from way back?), and they only heat them up.

AN UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE. THEY DID NOT HAVE A BAR OR RESTAURANT, DESPITE THE ADVERTISING, THE ROOM WAS BREATHING WIND UNDER THE DOOR, WE HAD TO COVER IT WITH TWO PILLOWS. THERE WAS NO ROOM SERVICE OR REFRIGERATOR, JUST THE REFRIGERATOR WITHOUT ANY ELEMENTS. HOWEVER, THEY CHARGED ME LIKE A 4-STAR HOTEL. THE NOVOTEL HOTEL IN PUERTO MONTT IS A SCAM. I NEED THE MONEY BACK I PAID. IT'S A SHAME. THEY SHOULD BE REPORTED ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND TO THE SERNAC FOR VIOLATING CONSUMER LAW.
